I was saved from the wolfs attack thanks to Phillip, but was he? He lied on the ground next to me. I looked up at the wolf. It's eyes were on fire and I just now realized it had a steel blue glow off its body. As I watched it land after the third attack, it turned, looked at us lying on the ground, then vanished. I looked over at Phillip. Claw marked on his back. Ripped through his shirt, barely touching skin, yet it still drew blood. "Phillip?" I shook him a little to see if he was conscious. "Phillip?" No sign of liveliness. I felt for his pulse...Thank God. He was just unconscious. I checked around seeing nothing around, at least as far as I could see past the fog. I decided now would be a good time to rest.
Waking up to the sound of screeching squirrels was unsettling. I looked over to my side where Phillip was. He was still there. But I noticed, the scratches weren't there. No blood either. His shirt was still ripped but no blood stains or wounds. I knew this was a good thing, but how does this happen. It wasn't a dream because the shirt was proof enough and it was just too real. I also felt the sharp pain from sitting up after being pushed to some rocks on the ground. I don't know how this happened. How are the claw marks gone?
Phillip soon woke up. He looked like he was in extreme pain still. "Phillip! Are you ok?!" I asked worried. "Ouch," Phillip said with pain stringing through his voice, "I guess I'm fine. What happened? Are you ok?" "Yea, I'm fine. Your back. It had claw marks on it. You were bleeding. I woke up. They are gone. If you don't believe me, look at the back of your shirt." I told him. He seemed happy that happened to him and not me. "So you're definitely ok then, right?" Phillip reassured. "Yea, I'm all good. If it wasn't for your quick thinking, I'd, well, we'd be dead." I got up and hugged him but I think that brought pain to him by touching his back. "Oops, sorry." I said. "Nah, it's fine. I can take the pain." Phillip said acting all tough. I knew he couldn't though. It's just funny. He tries to act tough to impress me, but it doesn't matter to me. I like that about him though.
