'Next Monday already'. Natasha's thought. She looked forward to seeing James, only too much. What made her feel that way? She got up, got dressed and waited for him to show up.
For her, the week had been boring, and fast. Soon, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in!" She said. James came through.
"Hey." He said.
"Hey."
"You ready?"
"Ready." Then, they walked from her apartment and went to his car. On the drive, they talked.
"I feel as if I have been neglecting Steve," James said.
"Why is that?" Nat asked a faint smile came across her face.
"I don't know."
"We'll see him after this. I have something for him."
James nodded his head. "Sounds good." They arrived in the cabin woods in no time. They walked the rest of the way. When the reached it, it was quiet. But, the quiet was stopped by a man.
"You haven't found him yet?" He said.
"No, sir." One of them said. "Barnes must be hiding in a super-secret facility."
"Just try to get him." The first voice said again. Natasha and James looked at each other. Now? Natasha's head said. James replied to it nodding though, he did know what she said. He always nods his head.
As they started approaching, a car drove away. 'The angry man' Nat's brain said. James opened the front door as Natasha approached the back. Her breathing heavily. Again? Her mind said, 'me and James together again.'
She heard him opening the front door and shooting, that was her cue. She kicked out the back door, slid her under Rumlow's and tripped him.
"Who else is in it?" She asked. James had his gun to Rumlow's head. She knew he wasn't going to tell. She grabbed a fork from the table and walked to Rumlow.
"If you aren't going to talk, you might as well eat this." She said. Then, she stabbed his rib, each time she pushed it in, he screamed louder. Soon, he fell on the floor. Nat turned to James,
"Could we go on a real date sometime?"
"Sure."
"Okay." She replied. "Let's go see Steve. You do still want to see him right?"
He nodded.
"Then, let's go." They walked out and went to the car. On the drive, they talked some more,
"Fury is going to kill me," Nat said.
"I don't think he would succeed," James said.
"All those people we just killed, Fury trusted them, and how will we tell him?" Nat asked.
James shrugged. "Just go and tell him?"
"Maybe." The ride in the car was quiet. Soon, they arrived at Steve's apartment. They got out and knocked on the door, Sam was there too.
"Hey, guys!" Steve said. "Come in."
"We were planning to," James whispered.
"BTW., Nat. Thank you for the hearing aids they are amazing." Steve said.
"Your welcome." She replied. "And I got something else for you." She handed him a box with big words 'LifeAlert' on it. "Here."
Steve stared at it. "Thanks, Nat!"
Nat turned to Sam. "So, what's up?"
"Eh.....Nothing much." He said. "Hanging out with Steve mostly."
Steve saw Bucky and gave him a hug. Bucky hugged back, only a little.
"Can you guys want to stay for dinner?" Steve asked.
James and Natasha looked at each other. "Sounds good," Nat said. "I'll make it." She walked into the kitchen and Bucky sat down him, Sam, and Steve starting chatting.
