The Crown Prince of the Nine Heavens...The Crown Prince of the Nine Heavens.
The Crown Prince of the Nine Heavens!
Of all the random snakes Su Su could pick up, she picked up HIM! Yan Zhi had heard many tales of this crown prince.
He was said to be a master in both Taoism and Buddhism, trained by The Venerable Yuanshi Tianzun himself. Managed to reach high immortal status by the young age of twenty thousand. He was powerful in court as well on the battlefield. Any battles he led guarantee a success.
He was not a man to be trifled with.
Yan Zhi paced the room, her mind raced with thoughts. It's going to be much harder to remain here now.
He already didn't like her for being here with Su Su. He will absolutely opposed to her searching her eldest brother Li Yuan.
She summoned the Kunlun fan into her palm. Using a little energy as possible, she flicked the fan hoping to blow apart the window. No effect.
She added a bit more of her powers.
She mimicked the movement Si Yin used the fan. Nothing.
Every magical artifact has a mind of its own. It still claimed Si Yin as its owner. That was why Yan Zhi couldn't use it. Therefore Si Yin is still alive.
Then how in the world the fan ended up in Su Su's hands? And why hadn't Si Yin claimed it back?
Seeing Ye Hua and Su Su together just now, directly sent Yan Zhi back to the past. He looked so similar to the late High God Mo Yuan, she had completely mistaken him. It didn't help that Su Su looked exactly like his 17th disciple, Si Yin.
The way Ye Hua looked at her was akin to how the High God looked at his disciple. For a moment, Yan Zhi thought all the unsavory rumors about the pair turned out to be true. That the god faked his death and hideaway from the world with his beloved disciple.
The man had claimed himself to be the crown prince. And Su Su was clearly just a mortal. Maybe it was just a coincidence?
Yan Zhi pondered this to the night as the soft drizzle of rain lured her to sleep.
The rain lasted the entire night, the sky finally stopped drizzling when the sisters woke up in the morning.
They had run out of rice from the porridge last night. With the rain last night, it was impossible to travel to town, thanks to the muddy roads and slippery slopes. Fortunately, Yan Zhi managed to salvage the basket of fruits from yesterday.
They had fruits for breakfast which did not excite Yan Zhi's stomach. She was a princess from a powerful immortal tribe, she was as pampered as she gets.
She was used to good food, lavish clothes, and comfortable houses. Not leftovers, tattered clothes, and tiny bedrooms.
She thought of the Crown Prince, as he was as in snake form resting between them, how he was probably not used to it as she was.
The Nine Heavens were conceivably more lavish than the Grand Purple Palace. Then again, Su Su fed him bite by bite every day. Probably not much different.
Su Su was starting to look a lot better now since yesterday. Yan Zhi was glad she couldn't stand the guilt if something was to happen to her.
"Jiejie, about yesterday…" Su Su said as she scratched behind her ear. Yan Zhi instantly froze, dreading the question.
"Your hands glowed," she stated, "I mean I'd seen you do strange things before… like the lightning, you summoned the day we first met. I just want to ask… you're not mortal are you?"
