Chapter 25
The moment Yan Zhi stepped foot in the Chang Sea, she was immediately arrested. Apparently, she was in relation to the enemies. And might be the last remaining forces of the mermaid tribe. She also shouldn't be trusted.
What a load of bull.
They even apprehended Zi Lan. Even though he had stated that he's from Kunlun Mountain, the sixteenth disciple of the High God Mo Yuan. They said he might be enchanted by demon magic from Yan Zhi. She didn't know any bewitching spells, to begin with.
Zi Lan demanded to see his first senior, the second prince of the Western sea. Apparently, he had left for home once the battle was over. They confiscated everything, their swords, weapons, and copper mirrors. Even the Kunlun fan.
"Wait!" Yan Zhi begged before she was shoved into prison, "Have you seen a white fox around here recently?"
"The fox was taken by the Crown Prince, " the soldier stated.
A weight lifted off Yan Zhi's shoulders, at least Su Su was still alive. She wasn't sure how Ye Hua gonna keep her safe in the Celestial Palace. But she knew that he would at least try his best. Su Su really needs to stop doing that, Yan Zhi wasn't sure if her heart could take another strain.
The cell was small and tight. With a rickety bed and a small window. Instead of hay, it was covered in seaweed. Tall coral served as the bars of the cell and they were edged with power numbing writings.
Zi Lan slumped down next to her, he twisted a seaweed between his fingers, "So the Crown Prince of the Celestial Heavens, "
"Yup, "
"The number one bachelor of the universe, " Zi Lan stated, "Seventeenth really knew how to pick them, "
"Yup, "
"So what now?" Zi Lan asked.
They had no powers, no contact, no way out. Yan Zhi stretched her arms, "Unless you know someone here influential enough to get us out, we're pretty much stuck, "
"Aren't you a princess?" He asked. "Don't you know the princesses here?"
"Of the Ghost Tribe, " Yan Zhi added, "I'm practically walking around with dung on my face. Not many princesses were willing to be my friend. Even a commoner like you doesn't respect me. "
"Since when I don't-"
"Just now at the Peach Forest, " Yan Zhi provided, "And Kunlun Mountain, "
Zi Lan smirked, "I tied you up with a rope, "
"And forced me to walk all the way down the mountain, " she added.
He put down his seaweed and turned to face her, "I apologize for my behavior, Princess. It was unnecessary rude of me, you were just trying to help seventeenth, "
A man? Apologizing to her? Yan Zhi smirked. That's a first.
"Apologies accepted, " she smiled.

Ye Hua had told Su Su to only remain in his quarters in Xi Wu Palace. Which Ye Hua had found to be impossible. When she's human, she had no trouble sitting still and keeping quiet. But when she's a fox, Su Su had boundless energy and always seem to run off whenever she could. Ye Hua couldn't really blame her, foxes are wild animals. It was her nature. It was like how he acted when he took the form of a snake. Snarled when threatened and loved to nap.
He couldn't contact Yan Zhi for help. She won't respond to her mirror. And Ye Hua had no idea what where she was. Or how to find her. Su Su was worried sick and frankly, Ye Hua was too.
