To Yan Zhi, the plan was simple. She knew that her sister-in-law was a green-eyed monster. Every time, Li Jing interacted with Su Su, Yan Zhi swear could smell the scents of *vinegar wafting from her body.

She had asked Su Su to spend more time with her brother. Which was extremely easy, he followed her around like a shadow.

Xuan Nu could not do anything about Su Su publicly because she was Yan Zhi's guest. She knew that if she harms a single hair on Su Su's body, the Ghost Queen will meet her end worse than her father in law. 

Yan Zhi was Qing Chang's only daughter. He had trained her in demon magic himself. He once told her that she was much more powerful than her two brothers. Sadly, she is a woman, or else she would make a great ruler.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, father. If Qing Qiu can have a Queen, why can't the Ghost Realm?

That didn't stop Xuan Nu from trying tho. As far as Yan Zhi could tell the Ghost Queen had made numerous attempts on Su Su's life. She tried her best to make it look accidental. From tripping her to poisoning her food, Yan Zhi had to be extra caution to protect her friend. She was constantly by Su Su's side, she triples check her food, she made sure that her bed had no hidden traps.

With every plan foiled, Xuan Nu's mood got worse. She kept staring daggers at them. As Li Jing got closer and closer to Su Su, Yan Zhi swore her sister-in-law's head might erupt.

Yan Zhi only had to find a suitable time to talk to her sister-in-law.

When Yan Zhi entered Xuan Nu's room, she saw her smashing her wine cup across the floor. She yelled at her servant and the poor young woman ran scurrying out of the room.

"*Er Sao, " Yan Zhi greeted.

"What do you want?" She said, "Had you not torture me enough with your fox spirit here?"

"Su Su is just an innocent girl, "

"Don't lie to me!" She yelled, "I knew a fox spirit when I see one! You think you bringing Bai Qian here will make me quiver at my feet?"

"Bai Qian? The Fox Queen?" 

Yan Zhi had realized that Xuan Nu meant fox spirit as a literal spirit of a fox. Instead of the derogatory term for cunning women. 

"We grew up together, you know. Your friend looked exactly like her, " 

Su Su looked like Si Yin. Yan Zhi already knew that. But to say that she looked like the Queen of Qing Qiu too? 

They say the Fox Queen was the most gorgeous woman in all the eight realms. How can a simple mortal woman compare? With Xuan Nu's vanity, could she be jealous of her too?

"Er Sao, " Yan Zhi spoke in a gentle voice, "Su Su is just a mortal woman. There's not a single immortal breath in her. Believe me, I checked, "

I have no intention to have my sworn sister to become my sister-in-law. Use these to seduce my brother, and win back his heart,"

"You want to help me?" She asked.
