'So he thinks he can just walk into your apartment, proclaim some shit that he's probably not even doing and win you back?' Brian exclaimed with his natural country accent. This was the first time I've seen him angry or frustrated in a long time. 'That bastard's gonna pay.'

'Calm down Brian, we'll take care of this if the problem arises again.' Anna soothed, 'Don't have a heart attack.' Anna turned her head to me, 'So how was the concert?'

'It was amazing! If I told you all the other stuff that happened, you wouldn't believe me' I grinned recalling the meeting with Alex, hanging out with the band, dancing with Alex, and the last bit I would defiantly keep to myself in front of Brian.

'Try us.' Anna said. I told her about how Alex and I met and literally crashed into each other twice and going backstage and every hanging out with the band at a club. After a few minutes Brian went to the loo while Anna and I were still engaged in our conversation. Anna and Brian have been together since high school. They married in my sophomore year in Uni and after the tragic airplane crash that killed my parents, Anna and Brian became my foster parents to keep me in the US. I, for one, am Anglo-American and yes, I have the Accent.

'And after Alex's cigarette break, we danced. The way it happened though, it was amazing. And there's this last bit that I wanted to tell you when Brian was gone that Alex and I slept together.'

Anna's eyes widened in disbelief and then grinned playfully, 'And how does Atticus feel about this?'

'Oh please I'm no longer with him, like I would care what he thinks. Besides if he thinks he's even getting a second chance he is dead wrong.' The song You Could Have It So Much Better by Franz Ferdinand came on in the store and I fully agreed with it but that song was soon replaced by my ringtone Do I Wanna Know? It was a number coming from overseas. I answered it.

'Hello?'

'Hi darling,' A familiar Sheffield accent seeped through the phone into my ears I couldn't place. 'It's Alex.' My eyes were wide open and all colour drained from my face. Anna looked worried. 'Don't tell me you forgot about me already.'

'No, um...Alex, h-how did you get this number?' Anna's worried look became surprised and then that look became a Cheshire cat grin.

'That's not important right now, I need to see you. Can you come back to England?' I pictured my nightmare in which Alex gets knocked out by Atticus.

'Um...no.'

'No?'

'Yes, Alex, how did you get my number? It was a one-night stand Alex.' It stung to say the last words. I wanted so bad to give in but I couldn't, my nightmares wouldn't let me. It was a warning.

'Wait-'

I hung up the phone and Brian sat down. He shot a questionable look to Anna and she simply said, 'Andy just rejected Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys.'

'What? How?' He looked at Anna, then he looked at me and my pale as copy paper face that soon lit up crimson red and my eyes tearing up.

'I will tell you later, Bri.' Anna turned her head towards me, 'Babe, if you like him, why don't you go ahead and go?'

'Because of the dreams, Atticus nearly killed Alex and I don't want that to happen.'

'Babe, I doubt it will. Alex can take care of himself.' I just nodded a yes and hugged them both, took my caramel coffee, and left back to my flat.

Alex

She fucking hung up on me! I can't believe she rejected me...I pick up the phone to call Emma to see if I can get Andy's address. Yeah, yeah, call me a stalker, but I can't get her out of my head. Honestly.
