*.*.*.*.*.*.*"This was a stupid plan, Z. Let's just go before Lou gets here," Niall begged, tugging on Zayn's black, leather jacket.
Zayn sighed and patted Niall's hand, "Everything will work out fine, Nialler," Z promised; comforting his friend for what seemed like the hundredth time since the plan was set up, "You're better for Harry. We just have to show him that."
Niall sighed and dropped his blond hair dyed head into his hands. Zayn sighed along with him and rubbed his friend's red polo clad back. It tore Zayn up to know he was hurting, and was possibly about to, hurt his best friends. But he honestly believed it was what had to be done. So there, the two sat together. On the couch in the apartment of their third friend. The last key of the plan. The girl who brought in small chocolate cookies she had baked out of nervousness for the act they were about to perform. Whom of which, wore a skin tight, knee-length, short sleeved, black dress with a wide neck to show off every beautiful rise and fall of her chest. And her hair, falling over her tiny shoulders in thick, seductive curls.
"Thanks, Eleanor," the two boys said at the same time. Yet neither reached out to eat one from the pretty mint colored plate. The green in which, was so subtle, it was almost like it too was nervous. Every single one of them, holding there breath.
Until the doorbell chimed it's sharp, single and lonely chime of a ding through the house. And it was only Zayn, whom had the most cool over the situation, who didn't freeze at it's noise. And it was Zayn who had to silently tap the other two and signal that it was time for The Plan. Out the back door, Zayn and Niall went while El answered the front. And she pulled it open to the visitor, before ushering him in with a kind smile. One she hoped would hide her nerves.
"Thanks for coming," She said simply as the shut the door behind him and herself.
He sighed. "What do you want? I'm supposed to be home today," Louis grumbled unhappily.
The day had not been going in any way he wanted. Beginning with a call from Eleanor a half hour ago, practically begging him to come over. She sounded to be in tears as she told him they, "need to talk". To make it worse, Harry had yet to waken up since it was only six. So, a heartbroken Louis was forced to leave an equally heartbroken note; explaining as to where he was off. And in a stuffy white button up and jeans; due to the fact he and Harry had managed to fall so behind on laundry, it was all he had left clean. Finally, on the drive over, he seemed to hit every possible stoplight. What should've been quite a short trip, turned into an episode. To say the least, Lou was irritated.
"It's like I said on the phone-" El started.
Louis cut her off, "I know what you said on the phone. I'm here now, what is it?"
She took a deep breath that made her chest rise high, before announcing, "I'm breaking up with you." L's face remained stone hard and emotionless. The only thing he did was raise an eyebrow, and move his lips as he reminded her that they never were "really" together. "I know," she sighed, "But, what I mean is, I want to quit this... 'Job' or whatever you want to call it."
"Why?" Louis bluntly asked, "Is it because of what I said? About the things in your diary?"
She shook her head. "No," she lied, "I accept you'll never feel that way about me," she took a deep breath that filled her shaking lungs, before continuing, "So, I want to let you go. I want you to be happy. That won't be with me, so the best I can do is send you off and hope you'll find the person who can."
