Line of Succession {CONTINUING DEVELOPMENT}

Chapter 4: First Orders as President

The next morning, September 23, 2047, Jessica wakes up, seeing that her husband, Zechariah is not on his side of the bed. But she remembers, he is dead, and she is now the President of the United States until January 20, 2049. She gets up, and puts on some formal clothes, and heads out, to the Oval Office. She walks in and sees some Generals standing in front of the desk. She sits down on the couch, and the generals also sit down as well.

General 1 - "Good Morning, Madam President. We have received word that the Turkish Straits are now blocked by the Sixth Fleet, however, the Turkish Navy is standing off with the fleet. We need your Presidential approval to retaliate if the Turks attack them."

J - "Yes, I hereby give you command over the Sixth Fleet, but if there is a skirmish between the two Navies, you send the commands to me, I will decide the course of action. Do you understand me?"

General 1 - "Yes ma'am, Madam President. We will bring you down to the Situation Room if there is a sea battle that begins."

J - "Yes, thank you, you may be excused."

The generals leave the office. She continues to sit down on the couch, mourning the death of her husband who died the night before. Around 20 minutes later, the same generals come into the office, again, to tell her that the Turks have fired the first shot.

General 1 - "Madam President, the Turkish Navy has fired the first shot, this is the first battle of the war. We need you to come to the Situation Room, so you can command your troops."

J - "Alright, Generals, I will come down in around 10 minutes, I need to do something real quick. I will meet you there."

General 1 - "Yes, Madam President. We will respect that, and we shall leave you be."

They again, leave the office.
