Chapter 14

Jamie's P.O.V

"Levi, why do our friends have to be fighting?", I sighed and wrapped my arms around him. He pulled the bed sheets up over my waist, "I don't know why.. They're both crazy.. So why do you not want to talk about this Adam guy?" "Because he doesn't matter right now. So shut up and cuddle with me", I smiled and kissed him gently. As the night went on, I started wondering what Haley could be doing. Then again, I don't wanna know, because she could be making out with Adam right now. Even though she denies it, I can see that she stills loves him. I don't blame her though.. He was her first love, so it makes sense.

As for Aiden, I honestly don't know why he's acting like he is. He's so lost without Haley, and I think his temper is getting the best of him. He sometimes acts like a 3 year old, being so jealous. If he doesn't have her, he has a tantrum. Maybe it'd teach him a lesson if Adam beat the crap out of him.

''Babe, go to sleep already'', Levi grunted. ''I will.. Don't worry about it'', I said. He soon got back to his dreaming and crazy sleep talking. Looking at his messy blonde hair and sleepy face made a smile curve onto my lips. He was such a good guy, and I feel pretty lucky to have him. It's crazy how finally, after crushing on him for 5 years, we finally got together. This relationship wouldn't have been possible without Aiden and Haley, and it makes me sad that they're fighting. I just hope that maybe they'll find their way back to eachother, or maybe Haley will move on with Adam... Either way, I just want my best friend to be happy, and that's all that really matters to me anyways. I took a deep breath in, exhaled, and slowly felt myself falling to sleep.

Aiden's P.O.V (Friday Night)

You know.. Maybe Haley and I aren't meant to be.. I mean, come on. Who'd want to be with a jealous pshycopath like me? I buried my head in my hands and felt tears running down my cheeks. ''Great.. Now I'm crying like some idiot'', I mumbled. ''I don't blame you'', someone says, and I turned around to see my mom. I looked away from her, refusing to show anymore signs of vulnerability. ''I felt the same way when your father died.. You remember that?'', she said. I nodded slowly. ''Well, trust me, things get easier. Even if things don't work out with you and Haley, that doesn't mean nothing in your life will. Everything works out for a reason, dear..'' She came over and hugged me tightly, kissing my temple. ''I'm sorry for being so shut off to you lately.. It's just, I'm going through the motions I guess'', I say. ''I understand.. Just remember what I told you, okay? Now get out of this bedroom and try to enjoy life. Your dad would want that for you..''

Haley's P.O.V

''Adam, we need to get up'', I said. ''It's been almost 2 years since I've been able to hold you in my arms. Please, just a little longer'', he begged. I sighed, ''Okay..'' After another few minutes of silence, he broke it with a surprising question, ''Why didn't you call me when I left?'' I stayed quiet, thinking my answer through, ''It hurt too much to bear losing you again..'' He didn't say anything. ''Would you have come back, if I would've asked you?'', I whispered. ''Yes'', he replied thoughtfully, ''If you knew how much I wanted to hear your voice, would you have called?'' I nodded, ''Ofcourse.. I wondered for weeks, months even, if I should've reached out to you.. I just thought you would've rejected me. Saying that us not being together was for the best.'' ''Do you know how many times I thought about coming back to you? And now that I am back, there's already another guy that has your heart. Do you know how terrible that makes me feel? Like I've missed my chance because of my own stupidity..'' I wanted to scream out, I never stopped loving you, or You still have my heart, but I held back, still unsure of my feelings for him. Maybe the fact I had these thoughts wrote something in black and white, but I felt like I couldn't read it because of my clouded mind. ''I just want you to know, that no matter what happens, I will always be here for you.. Even if you aren't mine..''
