Finding Our Way (part two of Love is in the Air)

chapter two

They both arrived at the school they had been attending for three years and this would be the fourth year. They both moved schools after the year of the murder. They had both agreed to move somewhere new and have a new life. Ezios dad agreed and so did her brother. So all four of them moved to California and started attending the highschool there.

As they walked to the grassy area under the tree in the middle of the field they held hands as they intertwined fingers. "Hey you guys" their friend Kathleen said. They both said hey back and smiled. "I hear we are getting a new student today" Kathleen said as she stood up. "where you going?"Jen asked. "Math I gotta ask Mr Mike for help" she said as she left.

As they sat there alone Jen fell asleep in Ezios lap. Ezio smiled as she stroked her hair lightly. She then kissed her head and whispered"time to go to class sweet heart." Jen groaned as she was tired while getting up from her sleep. "But I don't wanna go school today!" she said. Ezio smiled as she scooped Jen up and put her on the ground after. Ezio grabbed Jen's bag and handed it to her as she had hers on and was carrying Jen's binder and hers. They both started walking towards their world history class with Mrs Taylor.

As we entered the room we were still holding hands. Our class mates didn't care they respected and loved us. We walked to the back of the class like usual. The teacher walked in and treated us and soon we got to class work. While everyone was writing in their books notes and answering the questions on the board, the principal knocked on the door.

Mrs Taylor opened the door for Mr Franklin as he entered the door. Jen and Ezio were not paying attention as they Ezio was touching Jen while he walked in. Then Mr Franklin said,"Good morning students this is our new student Caleb." As soon as the name left his lips Ezio and Jens eyes shot straight to the student. Just as they had suspected it was him.

Jen's point of view

I  heard Ezio growl loudly as Caleb looked at me and her. His facial expression was hard to read but I could tell he was mad. Mrs T said he could sit wherever so if course he picked the seat right in front of me. I heard Ezio growl louder and so did he. All he did was move closer to me. He placed his hand on my knee and rubbed it slightly as Ezio looked like she was about to snap. I quickly pushed his hand off and sat in her lap. Throughout the whole class I sat in her lap while Ezio and Caleb were giving each other death stares.

When class had finally finished me and Ezio walked out quickly. We walked straight into the janitors closet before anyone came outside. "Why is he here?" I sad I pacing back and forth.  "I don't know"ezio said. One of the main reasons why I left the state was because  of him. I couldn't stand him always trying to get cozy with me . I told him I was with Ezio and that was that. Nothing was ever gonna change.

As the school day passed by both girls started feeling more and more uncomfortable. Ezio got more pissed off and started drawing killer pictures of her killing Caleb while Jen wasn't talking anymore. Each class they had Sith Caleb which was three new tried to seduce Jen. Jen was finally so fed up by the end of the last class they had together that she kicked him in the balls and sat next to the teacher while bringing Ezio with her.  As the school day finally passed Jen was stressed and Ezio had gotten all her anger by punching Caleb after school before he went to his car to get picked up. On their way walking to pick up John, Ezios little brother, they sat down on a bench.

"I hate him!" Jen screamed as tears flowed down her eyes.  Ezio hugged her tightly and set he  on her lap. "Shhh" Ezio said trying to calm her down. She knew exactly why Jen was crying. It was because Caleb was reminding her about the rape.  Ezio kissed Jens forehead as she stroked her air pushing her bangs out of her face. "I won't let him hurt you like that, if he touches you ever again I will rip his heart out of his chest, I swear" Ezio said protective.

The two girls walked to  he elementary campus as John was waiting for them. "Jen! Ezi! " he screamed as both of then picked him up. He giggled as they cuddled him. "Wanna get ice cream" Ezio asked them both. Jen and John nodded as John saw that Jens eyes were red. "Why are her eyes red sissy?" he asked concerned as Jen was like an older sister. "Something John." Ezio answered. "Is it Caleb?" he asked. "How do you know he is here?" both girls asked. "Because his sister is in my class." he stated. "Yea it is because  of Caleb." Ezio said. "If he touches you again I'll punch him'" John said exaggerating as he was ten hears old. Jen smiled at his comment and nodded 'ok'  When they arrived at the ice cream shop John got his own ice cream as Jen and Ezio shared a sundae. It had vanilla red velvet and cookie dough ice cream in it with a lot of sprinkles.

"Did you have to get that much sprinkles babe?" Ezio asked. All she got in return from Jen was a small giggle and a mouth full of ice cream. "I love sprinkles" Jen screamed. This made Ezio smile, "I know you like sprinkles, I bought you a bottle of them for summer." Jen smiled at he memory as the battle was gone in ten days.  They both chuckled softly as so did John. "They are delicious don't judge me" Jen screamed playfully as she played with  he sprinkled in the bowl on the ice cream. That night when they went to sleep Jen had a scary dream and woke up screaming. "Nooo stop don't do it!!" she screamed when reality hit her and she realized she was having a nightmare. Ezio jumped when she heard her scream and was up looking at Jen concerned. "What was is it?" "My mom....." She said as tears fell down her face.

Ezio cradled Jen in her arms as she sang softly trying to soothe the poor girl. For the past year Jen had been having nightmares of her mother. Each time it happened she woke up screaming as Ezio tried to calm her down, but as time passed Ezio could see what it was doing to her baby. It was scaring the living daylights out of Jen. She barely slept and always ended up falling asleep in class. Ezio would always let her sleep though and wake her up if the teacher came. "I won't let her hurt you again." Ezio said to Jen soothing her. "I promise" Jen smiled as she heard Ezio say this and muzzled up against her chest. They soon both fell asleep again, but they did not know that when they would wake they were to find something shocking.
