The next morning Ezio got up first. She stretched and yawned softly as she walked over to the bathroom and got ready. Just as Ezio turned the shower water on she shot up and looked around realizing she was alright. "I'm sorry did I wake you?"Ezio asked as she peaked her head out from the bathroom. Jen smiled and nodded but then laid her head back on the pillow and went back to sleep.
When Jen woke up she got up and went to the bathroom. Ezio was down stairs making food. Jen jumped in the shower and sat on the granite bench that was in the shower. She sighed softly as she turned on the water and let it soak her skin. After fifteen minutes she had finished showering. She got out and headed to the closet as she changed into comfortable clothes.
Once she was ready she headed down stairs. When she got down she saw food on the table and Ezio and her dad and brother waiting for Jen. They all smiled when she walked down the stairs and sat beside them. As soon as breakfast was over all four of them headed to the living room, where a pile of letters so of in two stacks.
Ezio's point of view
We headed to the living to go and open our letters. I saw Jen and my father look at each other with 'are you gonna' looks. I pushed it off as if it were nothing. We sat on the love seat couch as my father sat on the recliner and my brother sat on the floor. Jen and I first grabbed our first letter. It was from Pensylvania, as I opened mine I was getting worried. I opened it and unfolded the letter. "Dear Ezio we are sorry to say that we do not accept your application or resume, Pennsylvania State. I shook my head looking at my dad and brother and Jen. "Did you get in?" I asked Jen. She nodded softly and put the letter down.
We then started to open the letter from New York. As I opened mine I knew Jen didn't want to go there. She wasn't the studio type, but I liked cameras and art. As I unfolded the paper it read" we are glad to say that we accept your application for permission to enter our photography program." I couldn't help but smile. I looked to my dad them and nodded as they clapped. When I looked at Jen I saw that she had gotten in also. Next we started opening the envelope from Oregon and once again we both got in. Then it was the last one, the one I've been sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to open. As soon as we open we hold it up next to each other's and I feel my heart drop. I got in but she didn't. The only school we have is new York and Oregon. At least that was what I thought.
Jen's point of view
As soon as we had finished opening our letters I planned on giving her my last one. As soon as she put the Washington envelope down I slipped my Boston paper on her lap. She looked at me puzzled as the envelope was upside down. She turned it over and looked at me puzzled as it had the address on it. As she kept reading h the address I saw her happy expression go to a hard to read one.
She took the paper out of the already opened envelope as she started to unfold the paper I had already read. She read it and dropped the paper to the floor. I didn't know whether she was mad or not. Then she broke the silence,"Why didn't you tell me you applied?" She said. I looked down and said,"I never thought I'd actually get in." I admitted. It was a miracle I had really gotten in. "You'd rather go there then New York?" She asked. I nodded slightly as I saw her expression drop.
I sighed as she handed me the paper back. "So Boston huh?" She said breaking the silence once again. I nodded softly to her. She sighed and hugged me tightly. I smiled and hugged back as she pulled me in to her lap.
Little did we known what was to come.
