the air between senku and hamuko was tense. everyone could see that.
the leek haired boy had his gaze set on the girl infront of him, never wavering. he was determined to get the girl to open up to him.
senku had noticed her change in attitude. it all started more or less a week ago before taiju broke out of the stones he was encased in.
he noticed her thoughts wondering off whenever they were talking to each other. her gaze would run away from him, and she'd opt to look at the skies above instead.
though it was something hamuko usually did, it worsened at the time around.
she stopped responding to him in actual sentences, giving him short answers instead. and to top it off, she protested less when senku told her to do things she usually would whine like a baby at.
the science enthusiast was slightly worried. of course he was. he was already used to her company, and though he will never admit this to her, he does have a soft spot for her.
senku had his arms crossed. this was how it was like for the past few days. he'd have to wait for the girl to notice he was talking to her.
"hey. hamuko."
he snapped his fingers a couple of times infront of said girl's face until she jolted in her position.
she quietly apologized and sighed, 'now or never, right?' she thought.
the burgundy haired hugged her knees and put her chin in between them, even though one of her knees was still wounded, it was taken care by senku earlier.
"sen-kun. i'm not sure how much i can tell you.. it's a little bit risky. what would happen if you were to know everything i've kept inside my mind?" hamuko's eyebrows furrowed.
