All went dark, power supply was cut off. Emergency lights lit. We saw three guards laid dead.

“We need to get you to safety.” Dalton told me.

“Wayne, you got weapons?” Pietro asked him.

“In the weapons room near the Science Laboratory, there are Tasers there.” He whispered.

“Tasers? In school?” I asked them.

“COCC Cadets are trained to use those and are authorized to use those in case of certain emergencies.” Kaitlyn replied.

“Then, why didn’t I know anything about this matter?” I asked them.

“Because you weren’t a Cadet.” Wayne answered.

“Welton High School has defensive measures. By this time the police are already heading here.” Pietro stated.

Dalton and Pietro ran to the weapons room and brought back four TASERs.

“So we only have four shots.” Dalton said.

“There are four of them, heavily armed. They’ve got ---M4A1, P90, AA12 and Kriss Vector--- too much firepower.” Pietro stated.

They all had TASERs except for me so I brought a wooden katana, I had kendo classes. We went out on a diamond formation. We saw four gunmen.

“We take them out in one… two…” Kaitlyn instructed.

Suddenly they turned so we hid, “Where are Pietro Danissoff, Wayne Petriforr, Kaitlyn Evenstar, Divine Rumenoff and Dalton Andrejvic?” The gunman asked a student but he didn’t reply so they shot him and he laid dead.

“We’re here.” Dalton said. They fired their TASERS, three were down. Wayne missed his shot. They guy with an AA12 was still there.

“Hands on your knees or she dies!” The gunman shouted and pointed his gun upon me. “Drop your weapons.”

“Pietro, plan B?” Kaitlyn asked.

“Bloody Plan B. I have none.” Pietro said.

“Tranquilizer?” Wayne asked.

“Right. In my pocket.” Dalton said. “I’ll go for Vine, Pietro and Wayne go for him. Kaitlyn get a gun.”

“Go!” Pietro shouted. The gunman fired two shots. I wasn’t hit by it but Dalton was. He used himself to protect me from the shot. Wayne and Pietro took the gunman down. Then the police and the medic arrived.

“We need an ambulance!” Vine shouted. “Dalton, can you hear me?”

“Are you alright?” He asked me his ribcage was bleeding.

“I am.” I cried. “Dalton, please live on.”

“I told you, if I fall here at least you know that I would. I would die for you. I promise, you won’t ever feel a thing.” He replied.

I cried so hard, to see him dying just to save me. He love me more than he loved his life. Soon the medic came and placed him on a stretcher and rushed him to the hospital. I went with him in the ambulance.

“You’re not dying Dalton. Please…” I said, “I…”

“Please don’t say you love me, if you don’t.” He pleaded, “I am happy that I did this for you. Look after all of you. I will miss you.” I thoroughly kissed his lips. He smiled and I shed tears.

“I love you, Dalton.” I told him.

“Thank you Vine. I love you too, I always did. I always will.” He replied. “I left something for you in my laptop. The password is 1701.”
