“As you wish, but I must warn you that my methods of therapy aren’t typical practice.”

He spoke, wavering on his words as if he was tiptoeing around on his phrasing. This didn’t bother Judith though, she was simply glad that she officially had something after decades of nothing even though it was her own fault for not reaching.

Judith gently loosened her gaze as well as let her body become less tense. Her muscles seemed to relax into the chair, listening to his warning though not heeding it,

“I don’t care. All I know, and even though I’d hate to admit it, is that I am glad to finally have something... But I do have a question.

She spoke, after a while she finally got enough courage to guide her looking eyes up to his. The gaze was locked and she was observant in noticing his slight surprise at this.

“Ask away, Judith. This is your time to speak after so long of seemingly silenced agony. I am here to listen and with your permission, I can now help as well.”

He spoke, tilting his head subtly while still holding that line of eye contact,

“Why me? I know you found me, my boss didn’t just refer me to you because he knew you.”

Judith confronted, her nose flaring ever so slightly with each spoken word. Suspicion arose on her horizons, she wanted answers and what better time to ask than while they were both face-to-face in a room shrouded in secrecy.

“Good question, Judith.”

He spoke, his eyes falling into a state of glazed-over blankness as if he was concocting something mentally to trick her unbeknownst to Judith, herself.

“It has quite a simple answer really. As a therapist usually all my times are booked out but due to recent incidents, I no longer have a segment filled and I have one less patient under my care so I have actually been trying to open my services in hopes that I would find someone to fill that time gap and to become another figure that I could help.
