Securing teammates and feelings

As Momo, Tsuyu and I were heading towards the battlegrounds we idly chatted and devised possible plans from our observations of the previous battle training.

"I know that Todoroki is both overwhelming skilled and a highly capable strategist, so let's focus on securing defence seeing as we're the villains. Otherwise his pure offence skills will overwhelm us as a group," Momo looked with vigor as trailed along, "First let's head to the bomb room and asses our area. From there we can analyse the most efficient way to secure the win."

"Of course, we should also take into account the layout of the building too, maybe we could set down small metal spikes everywhere with your creation? Or even just add some amount of obstacles for the opposing team," I added "oh and that's only if you think it would be an appropriate use of your quirks energy requirements," a small barely conceivable blush spread along my face as I caught Momo smiling gently at my suggestions and concerns.

"Let's just hurry up and get to the room before our 15 minutes prep time is over," Tsuyu waltzed in between the two of us, as a way of saying 'save the flirting for later', Momo and I softly giggled as we picked up our pace, glancing in each other's directions as we did.

Our fifteen minute prep time was now over, and we had set up some scattered spikes directly surrounding the bomb, along with a barricade against the door of the room (where Momo was keeping guard). Tsuyu and I were in the hallway waiting for our opponents, I also had the entire building steamed up to maximise Tsuyu's mobility, but otherwise I was just dead weight.

We heard the cold, stiff chinks of boots along ice, along with an acidic sizzle and cheerful giggle. I'm guessing that our opposition had entered.

"Alright Tsuyu, let's head towards them and make sure to detain them ASAP, remember if Todoroki freezes any of us in place I can easily melt through with my steam-flow," I directed Tsuyu as we began heading towards where we heard the sounds.

"Alright, Momo did you copy that?" Tsuyu pressed the intercom button.

"Yes, make sure you stay wary, I'm sure Ashido and Todoroki both have a solid plan in mind. The last thing we want to do is underestimate our opponents."

"Roger that Yaomomo," Tsuyu unpressed the button and followed my lead. Tsuyu hopped along beside me as we began to navigate the building.

*CRIIINKK*

More ice, Todoroki and Ashido should be cl-

"Take that villains!!!" Ashido pronounces as she splurged a huge wave of acid on me.

"Ack that-!" my suit got burnt through, which means my steam regulators might cause a small explosion if I'm not careful. I just need to-Before I could regain my sight I got my lower half frozen over, reflexively I released enough hot air to melt the ice until-

"Wait Tsuyu, where are you???" Shoot, had I really let her have to go and take on Todoroki, damn never mind that I need to focus on Ashido.

"C'mon I'm over her y/n! Fite me!!" Mina was smiling ear to ear, I don't know if she realised just how much damage her attack did, or if she was playing it off to rile me up.

"Of course,, ...ah,,; puny hero!" I played along much to Ashido's amusement. Taking the chance I shot small beams of boiling water at her eyes, temporarily blinding her. I made haste to use the tape we were given to secure her.

"Damn that was faster then expected... kudos y/n!" Mina was discontent with her capture, I wondered how Tsuyu and Momo were.

Without much hesitation I hurried up the flights of the buildings, I presume Tsuyu is stuck up against Todoroki but she could only of evaded his ice surges for so long.

"Tsuyu can you read me?" I pressed my intercom button, praying for a response,

"Yes, are you ok y/n?? I've been frozen in place by Todoroki, I thinks he's headed over to you or Momo," Tsuyu's voice was a bit shaky, I could feel cold chilly air even where I stood, so I presume Todoroki's not far off.

"Yes I'm fine, I was able to capture Ashido but I still need to either find you or Momo, my steam regulators were damaged so if I strain my quirk I could end up causing a small explosion. Do you know if Momo's alright?"

"No, but never mind that, hurry along to Momo and regroup, I can use my stomach acid to free myself up and make sure Mina doesn't escape her capture."

"Thanks Tsuyu!" I turned off intercom and hurried to the door where the bomb was stored, only to end up face to face with Todoroki.

Ok, staying in one place is bad so stay agile.

With much haste he froze over the floor, I was too slow to evade so I had to counter with my steam flow, but I knew I'd have to detain him if I wanted a chance of winning. Carefully I slid along the ice to get closer to my opponent,

*CRIIIIIINK*

Another huge ice blast released, just how much power can one man have?? I used boiling water this time, to hopefully land an indirect hit.

"Momo, prepare some kind of weapon, I'm outside of the bomb room hurry!" I got a message in on my intercom before once again being detained by an ice blast.

"You can't just melt away my attacks, you'll exhaust your quirk," Todoroki looked with a vacant expression,

"I know I'm trying," I really wasn't but, I let out a huge burst of boiling water to break free until-

*BAM*

My steaming regulators exploded, most certainly incapacitating Todoroki and myself. I began losing eyesight and consciousness as I heard some frog like sounds and cuffs being put around someone's wrists,

"M-Momo??" I blacked out.

"Y/N... you.. hello?" I peered up, a searing pain ringing through my ears as I tried to register the sounds around me, whoever made the noise must've sensed my unease and rubbed my hand gently.  I took a few deep breaths and

"M-Momo! Wait where's Tsuyu? What about Todoroki?? And oh what about you, are you okay!?" I blurted out a hundred things a once, I don't even know if I was speaking Japanese or English;;

"Y/N take a slow breath, battle trainings over, we won and Tsuyu's doing perfectly fine, although Todoroki's in the infirmary as well. I'm here with you at the nursery because your steam regulators exploded. Can you remember?" Momo held my hand as she faced me to talk, I nodded but gestured with a 'so, so' kind of wave. I don't think I can speak without somehow messing up what I meant.

"Alright well I'll go get recovery girl, don't strain yourself ok? I'll be back in a moment,"

and with that Momo exited the room. I wonder why she was here, was she worried? I hope not, I know all too well she isn't one to risk class time.

I began sitting myself up, I slowly regained my senses and focused of withdrawing those feelings. It's ok I just need to sit up, that's all.

*Swish*

The door slid open, Momo walked in with a short old lady who had her hair tied in a bun. She must be recovery girl.

"I'm back Y/N, recovery girl over here will check up on you and give you a physical assessment," she walked over to me "I have to head to the remainder of class ok? I'll make sure that once we head back to the estate I'll catch us both up on what we missed," she smiled and peered in on me, as she gave me a light kiss on the cheek.

I raised my hand to where her lips touched. My face must've of been bright red,,, Momo waved as she exited and recovery girl bonked me on the head.

"You can chat with your girlfriend later, Alright lovebird? Next time don't go ignoring your quirks needs ok!" She scolded me as I hid my face, I-Momo she, I melted in my spot as I thought about it;;.;.:,:,,

Recovery girl leaned in towards me to plant a kiss on my other cheek, all of a sudden I fell asleep from the sudden lack of energy I had. Wait I...
