Chapter 57

"Are you sure you want to go there?" Isoshi asked as he drove Matsuri to her destination
"Yes...I have to go there" Matsuri said
"Alright" Isoshi said. After a few minutes Isoshi and Matsuri arrived at the forest then Matsuri stepped out of the car. She trembled a little as she stared at the dark forest
"Hey Matsuri you okay?" Isoshi asked slightly concerned
"Yeah I'm okay" Matsuri said and walked to the forest
"Uh do you want me to wait here or uhhhh...she left. So I guess I just stay here" Isoshi said and sighed. Matsuri walked through the forest. She trembled slightly as she slowly arrived at her destination. Matsuri stopped and looked down a bit
Flashback
"Mama! Let's hurry! Please!" Matsuri said
"Relax Matsuri. First you have to put your winter clothes on" Liana said
"Do I have to go too?" Hana asked
"Yes!" Matsuri said and pouted
"Please?" Matsuri asked. Hana only sighed and smiled softly
"I can't say no to that face" Hana said and chuckled softly
"Yay! Come on! I wanna play already!" Matsuri said as she grabbed Liana's hand dragging her to her room
"Hehe alright" Liana said as she smiled. Matsuri got to her room and Liana helped her out to pick her clothes. Once Matsuri got herself ready, Liana took Matsuri to the front door
"I wanna make a snowman!" Matsuri said as she opened the door and felt the cold weather hit her face. Matsuri smiled and walked outside
'It feels nice even though it's cold'
"Where's Hana onee-chan?" Matsuri asked
"She'll be coming soon" Liana said and patted her head softly
"Can we build a snowman?" Matsuri asked
"Of course" Liana said. Matsuri smiled brightly and started working on a snowman along with her mother. In a couple of minutes Hana came outside and shivered a bit
'It's freezing. How can they handle the cold? I wanna go back to bed...'
"Come on Hana!" Liana said
"Yeah Hana! Let's build a snowman together!" Matsuri said as she smiled. Hana sighed and smiled
"Alright. I'm coming" Hana said as she walked towards her sisters. In just a couple of minutes the three girls stepped back to admire their work
"Cool!" Matsuri said and laughed a little
"What should we do next?" Hana asked
"Hmm?" Matsuri said and looked down. She kneeled down and grabbed some snow making a snowball then threw it at Hana
"Hey!" Hana said and grabbed some snow making a snowball out of it. She threw it at Matsuri but she dodged it
"Ha! Try and catch me!" Matsuri said before running away
"I'll get you!' Hana said. Liana stood back and watched them play

Matsuri looked up and saw the old house she used to live with her mother and sister
It's been so long...damn...
Matsuri stepped inside the old house and looked around
"Heh...memories" Matsuri mumbled as she walked through the house. She smiled at the old memories and headed to the back door where she found a grave. Her mother's grave. Matsuri trembled a bit and stepped forward
"Hey mama..." Matsuri said and kneeled down in front of her grave
"It's been a while. Yeah I know. I haven't visited in a while...none of us have. It's just so hard for me...I still blame myself for your death. I-it's just that...if I hadn't ran away like that. You would've still been here by my side..." Matsuri said and cried softly
"Forgive m-me...for being terrible...I-I still have nightmares...about you m-mama. Please forgive me!" Matsuri cried and trembled. Her eyes widen as she felt warmth all around her body. She looked up finding Liana in front of her
"Don't blame yourself Matsuri. I don't want you to hurt yourself like that" Liana said
"M-mama..." Matsuri mumbled and trembled
"Shhh it's okay. I know but Matsuri...it was never your fault. Never blame yourself or talk about yourself like that ever again. Do you understand?" Liana asked
"Y-yes mama" Matsuri said and sniffed
"Good. Now I think it's time for you to go back to your mates right?" Liana said
"B-but I don't want to leave you..." Matsuri said
"Matsuri you will never leave me. I will always by your side" Liana said and kissed her head softly
"I'm so proud of you Matsuri" Liana said as she smiled at her then slowly vanished
"M-mama...please don't..." Matsuri whimpered
"Remember...I will always be with you" Liana whispered before vanishing completely. Matsuri looked down and wiped her tears
"Y-you're right" Matsuri said and smiled a little. She jumped as her phone rung and pulled it out
"Y-yes?" Matsuri asked as she tried to speak normal
"Hey Matsuri. Did something happen? Why are you taking so long?" Isoshi asked
"A-ah no no. I'm good. I'm on my way now" Matsuri said
"Okay. Just making sure" Isoshi said
"Alright. See ya" Matsuri said and hanged up
I better head back...
Matsuri stood up from her mother's grave and smiled
"Thank you mama. For being there for me and loving me. You're the best" Matsuri said. After calming herself down, Matsuri walked back to the car but on her way back she sensed something nearby. Her eyes widen and started following the aura
What is...this feeling? Why am I even following it?
Matsuri went through the forest as she was guided by a strange yet familiar aura. She got to a lake and her eyes widen as she saw pick roses floating on top of the lake
"Miaseakuu..." Matsuri mumbled and soon Miaseakuu appeared but this time she seemed much more beautiful and nice
"Hehe...it's been a while. Matsuri Mizusawa" Miaseakuu said
"I thought you left for good after...that" Matsuri said
"Yeah...I thought we both were gone but...when I was with you...I saw a light" Miaseakuu said
"A light?" Matsuri asked
"Yes..." Miaseakuu said
"What happened next?" Matsuri asked
"I don't know..." Miaseakuu said
"What do you mean you don't know?" Matsuri asked
"Well...I just woke up in this place...and these pink roses just suddenly appeared on the lake" Miaseakuu said
"And...what happened to them?" Matsuri asked
"Don't know but I don't care anymore...I'm free" Miaseakuu said as she smiled
"Free?" Matsuri asked
"The Devil was always in control...and I...enjoyed killing them" Miaseakuu said
"Do you regret it?" Matsuri asked
"I regret everything...my parents were right. They were all right...I should've been dea-"
"No! They're wrong!" Matsuri said. Miaseakuu's eyes widen and looked at her
"What?" Miaseakuu asked
"They're wrong. It was never your fault. You did amazing things. You wanted to help people. You helped me. Saved me because you cared. Even if you did terrible things...I know there is still some good in you because that's the real you. That killer side of you...that was never you" Matsuri said. Miaseakuu looked down and laughed softly
"I guess I was wrong about you" Miaseakuu said
"What do you mean?" Matsuri asked
"You were never me. You were you. You're Matsuri Mizusawa" Miaseakuu said
"I-"
Ring! Ring!
"It must be Isoshi" Matsuri said as she pulled her phone out
"Miaseakuu I-oh" Matsuri said as she saw no one. She looked down at the lake and saw the pink roses
"I promise to come back and visit you Miaseakuu" Matsuri said as she smiled softly. She jumped as her phone started ringing again. Matsuri groaned and ran back to the car
"I'm coming you dumbass" Matsuri said and walked back to the car
"There you are! I was worried sick!" Isoshi said
"Jeez relax asshole. You know very well that I can take care of myself" Matsuri said
"Yeah I know. I wasn't worried about you" Isoshi said
"Then what were you worried about?" Matsuri asked
"About your mates killing me if we don't get back quick!" Isoshi said
"Oh right. Hehe sorry about that" Matsuri said
"Let's just hurry back before they start to get worried about you" Isoshi said as he stepped inside the car. Matsuri laughed a little and walked to the car as she got in
"Hopefully I won't die tonight..." Isoshi said
"Relax. That won't happen...maybe" Matsuri said and laughed

Mei and Mitsuko were still on the couch waiting for their mate
"Matsuri is a little late...don't you think?" Mei asked
"We shouldn't worry..." Mitsuko said
"You're worried..." Mei said
"Yeah...but we must trust her" Mitsuko said
Even though I still have doubts...ugh we've been together for two years now. We should feel fine. It's because of me and my stupid jealousy...
"Hey Mitsuko you feeling alright?" Mei asked
"Y-yeah I'm fine..." Mitsuko said as she looked down
"Is this about Matsuri?" Mei asked
"...shut up" Mitsuko said and played with her hair
"Heh...you're thinking the same thing huh?" Mei asked
"Whatever..." Mitsuko said
"It's surprising really..." Mei said
"What?" Mitsuko asked
"That we've been together for two years already" Mei said and held her hand. Mitsuko smiled softly and kissed her hand softly. Mei blushed and closed her eyes
"Will Matsuri come back soon? I want her so bad" Mei said
"When she gets back we'll teach her a little lesson" Mitsuko said as she smirked
"Hehe you enjoy teaching her lessons" Mei said and giggled softly
"She may have matured and grown up a bit but...she is still our little Omega" Mitsuko said
"Should we call her? It'll be dinnertime soon" Mei said
"Alright. Let me call her" Mitsuko said and stood up to grab her phone. She clicked on her contacts and called Matsuri
She better pick up...
"Sorry but the-"
"She's not answering..." Mitsuko said as she hung up
"Wh-what?" Mei asked
"She's not fucking answering" Mitsuko said
"She probably just didn't answer in time" Mei said
"She better not be drinking with her cousins..." Mitsuko growled
"Let me call her friend" Mei said as she pulled out her phone and called Isoshi
"H-hello?" Isoshi answered as he trembled
Fuck! I'm so dead! They'll kill me!
"Hello...why isn't Matsuri picking up her phone?" Mei asked with a stern voice which made Isoshi shake even more
"W-well uhm she l-left it here. In the car" Idoshi said
What the hell was that? That must be a fucking lame excuse!
"Lame excuse..." Mei said
"A-ah but it's true! She left it!" Isoshi said
"Why?" Mei asked
"She is picking up Nitski's and Juhin's mates. Yeah that's right" Isoshi said
"You think you can fool me...asshole" Mei hissed
"Waaaah! Matsuri! Help me! I can't anymore!" Isoshi cried dropping his phone
"What a dumbass..." Matsuri groaned and went over to the phone picking it up
"I thought I said not to scare my friends anymore..." Matsuri said
"Instinct..." Mei said
"Wait is it Matsuri?" Mitsuko asked
"Yep. It's her" Mei said
"Gimme that" Mitsuko said snatching her phone
"Why the hell didn't you pick up?" Mitsuko asked
"It's a little surprise Alright? I need you two to get yourselves ready. Isoshi will be picking you two up" Matsuri said
"Nooo! Not me please! I'll die!" Isoshi pleaded
"You won't..." Matsuri said
"I won't?" Isoshi asked
"Not before I kill you first dumbass" Matsuri said as she glared at him
"When did you became so scary looking?!" Isoshi exclaimed. Matsuri sighed and allowed Isoshi to panic like crazy
"Anyways he'll be picking you up in 20 minutes. You two better not be late" Matsuri said and hanged up
"O-okay" Mitsuko said as she blushed
"What did she say?" Mei asked
"To get ourselves ready" Mitsuko said
"Oh? Maybe she's planning a surprise for us" Mei said as she blushed
I can't wait to see what she has planned
"Okay. Let's get ready for our surprise" Mitsuko said as she smiled
"But I still want Matsuri's ass" Mei said as she stood up and walked up to Mitsuko
"Let's just get ready first then we can have her" Mitsuko said as she stroked her hair softly and gave her a small kiss
"Okay babe" Mei said
