The next day. " Hello, madam Sky, here some new clothes," David said giving Sky a bundle of clothes and then he left. There was a grey t-shirt and black pants and a pair of green running shoes that oddly enough matched the green at the tips of her light brown hair and close to the color of her eyes. Then she put on the clothes and grabbed some food and then went to the fighting room.
"Everyone line up, even you newbie," a woman with blond hair and pink at the ends and her eyes were pink as well. So everyone got into a line.
" Okay everybody now is the time here where I pair you up with someone in this room. That you will live with, eat with, fight with and who you will share everything with, you got that?" the lady yelled pacing back and forth in front of the line. Then she started pairing people up. " ...Bla and Bla, Sky you will be with hm, David Shipton," she continued pairing people and letting the people who she had already paired go.
" So, let's go and find where are home will be," David said as they walked outside to small open space in the woods.
" Wait we have to make our home?" Sky said a little surprised.
" Yep, is that okay with you, because if you don't want to build it I can just do it myself," David said grabbing some sticks.
" No way I'm going let you build the fort because that's the fun part," Sky said grading sticks as well.
" So, madam Sky has had experience building a fort before," David jokingly said as both of them began going deeper into the forest and they began grading logs and bigger sticks.
" Haha, very funny," Sky sarcastically said. Once they had gathered all the sticks and logs they built their fort. After that, it was lunchtime.
" Madam Sky have you ever hunted before?" David asked.
" No, I haven't before, why," Sky replied.
" Because we are going to hunt for our lunch," David said as they stepped back from the fort to see what the fort looked like. It looked like a small wooden house with a makeshift looking chimney coming out of the top. Then they went out to an open field with an elk in the middle of it. " Do you want me to show you how to do it or we can get the elk together?" David asked.
" Let's both go for it," Sky replied as they crocked in the grass.
" Okay be quiet so we can sneak up on it," David said and then Sky began to be silent. They began to sneak up on this elk both Sky and David on either side of it. David began to count down with his fingers. Just then Sky remembers the last thing that uncle Jasper had shown her and Cora. So she appeared her weapon just as David was at 2. it was a long dagger with green in the center and the handle was black intertwined with green in it. Then David got down to zero. So then they lunged at it. Sky sliced the head off of the elk, David tried snaping the elk's neck but its head was gone. " Sky, what happened to its head," he said in shock and then getting up.
" The heads right there, I cut it off," Sky said a little confused.
" But where did you get the weapon from?" David asked.
" I didn't get it from anywhere I just appeared it," Sky replied still a little confused.
"Oh. wait, what. How is that even possible, is that your power," David asked still confused.
" No, it not my power. I thought all human-wolves could appear weapons. I could teach you if you want?" Sky asked.
" yeah sure that would be great," David said grabbing out a rope out of his backpack and tieing up the elk and putting the elk into a plastic bag and tied it up by the legs and somehow put it into his backpack. Then Sky disappeared her weapon and David looked amazed by this.
" Okay follow me," Sky said. Then David nodded his head in approval.
" Now hold your hand out and imagine that you have a weapon in your hand," Sky said appearing the same weapon from earlier and David was holding his hand out and squinting his eyes trying hard to form a weapon. After about four hours past Sky was whittling a piece of wood into a wolf and then David finally appeared a weapon. It was a throwing knife intertwined with navy blue color that matched the tips of his dark brown hair.
" Yes, I finally did it," David said as Sky disappeared her weapon and placed the little wolf carving next to a carved tree, another wolf and an elk.
" So are we finally ready to go back to the fort and eat?" Sky asked.
" Oh yeah, we can go and make some lunch now," David said disappearing his weapon
" It's four o'clock now, so it's more like supper," Sky said getting up.
" Oh, sorry," David said and then both of them walked back to the fort. Once they made it back they made a fire with a spot to cook the elk. Once they cooked the elk and ate as much as they could eat. It had begun to grow dark.
" So what do we have to do tomorrow?" Sky asked as she pocked a stick into the embers of the fire.
" I'll teach you to fight and maybe practice your powers," David replied.
" Oh, okay. Um, I haven't found out my powers yet," Sky said a little embraced that she didn't know what her power was.
" That's okay would don't need to practice them right now anyway," David said trying to help sky feel less embarrassed. " How I learned what my power was when my parents tossed my most favorite thing. So I freaked out and froze the crane. I miss them, they always made me and my sister feel happy. They would always tell us the craziest stories of knights and princesses, those were the good times," David said as Sky became uneasy and she began fiddling with her hands, but David didn't notice he just kept talking about his parents for a long while. " So what were your parents like?" David asked
" Um, I never really knew my parents," Sky said still fiddling her fingers.
" Oh sorry I asked, but what happened to them if you don't mind me asking," David said trying not to make her feel more uneasy.
" It's okay. Well, they left me with one of their old friends and told him that they'd come back for me. They never did come back. I was a year old when this happened. I kinda feel they forgot about me or never really wanted me in the first place," Sky said getting up and then heading into the fort to go to bed.
As David was sitting by the fire Lupid came over to him " What are you doing here?" David asked as Lupid came and sat next to him.
" Checking to see how Sky is. How is she?" Lupid asked.
"She's good I guess. She just doesn't seem to open up to me, but she told me a little bit about herself," David said a little sad.
" Why do you care so much about her opening up to you?" Lupid asked teasing him a little bit. "Come on Lupid stop it," David said blushing.
"Okay okay, I'll stop. If you so badly want her to open up to you, you could go on an adventure and that should help you get to know her," Lupid said then getting up and then David got up.
" Good night Lupid," David said as Lupid went back to her fort.
" You too, take care and be safe," Lupid said the disappearing into the dark night and then David went into the fort and went to bed.
