Once they woke up they got ready and made their way into the mountain valley. It took them about the whole day to get close to any civilization. " Sky look," Lupid said running towards the village.
" Wait," Sky said pulling Lupid back so hard it made her fall on the ground.
" What was that for," Lupid angrily asked getting up and brushing herself off.
" We don't yet know who the people are in that village. I think our best bet right now is to sneak in there," Sky said starting to sneak towards the village.
" What's the point of sneaking into this village, why not just go around it?" Lupid asked starting to follow Sky.
" You see there. Well right in that building is where our stone is," Sky said pointing at the building in the middle of the village and they continued to sneak in.
" Sky I'm hungry," Lupid whined. Then Sky handed her a fresh-baked bread. " Where did you get this?" Lupid asked smelling the delicious bread.
" I stole it," Sky said as lupid putting into her mouth and then pulling it back.
" Come on Sky, you can't just steal things," Lupid said as they came closer to the building in the center of the village.
" I'll take it back if you don't want it," Sky said reaching for the bread.
" Nope, you can't," Lupid said shoving all the bread into her mouth and then smiling.
" Okay, that's gross," Sky said as they got to the center of the village. They then realized the building in the center of the village was a tavern. This tavern wasn't like most tavern, but it was the meeting place where the mountain pirates went to drink, dance and for the tavern girls. Then Sky and Lupid enter the tavern.
" Hello, pretty little ladies. Now, what might you be doing in these parts?" The bartender asked as they went over to the bar.
" We're looking for an orange and red crystal neckless," Sky replied
" Oh, yes. I think I saw one of the men over there with one," the bartender said pointing at the group of men drunk and dancing.
" Thanks," Lupid said then following Sky to a table near the group of men. " So what's our plan?" Lupid asked.
" Well for starters we'll have too..." Sky replied being cut off by a drunk man
" Hey, pretty ladies. I overheard you were looking for a crystal," the drunk man slurred his words trying to get close to them and swinging the exact necklace they were looking for. Then Sky tried to steal it from him. " A-a-a, you gotta trade for it. just like anyone else," the drunk man said
" Lupid we have nothing to trade for the crystal. We might as well cross that wolf off our list from going our pack," Sky whispered getting up.
" Wait a second. You said pack," the drunk man slurred pointing his finger all over the place.
" Lupid I need you to get ready to run," Sky whispered.
" So your human-wolves," the drunk man slurred.
" Yesss, why?" Sky stammered
" Oh, no need to be frightened. I'm like one of you, kinda," the drunk man empathized, now becoming sober.
" What? You don't smell like any wolf I've come across," Sky said smelling the man. She got a scent of dirt and alcohol.
" That's because I'm not a human-wolf. I'm a human- sand fox," the man said.
" I thought your kind lived oversea on island Vulpes et Feles not her on Tutela Patriam," Lupid exclaimed.
" We do but, you see...," the man replied beg cut off by Sky.
" Not to be rude or but is there some way we can make a trade," Sky asked pushing the man in front of her instead of beside her.
" Okay, I'll give it to you, if I can join your pack," the man replied smiling.
" Come on Sky. I know he's not a human-wolf, but we could use a fox. Plus what's the worst that could happen to have him on our team," Lupid whispered to Sky as the man flexed his scrony musscels.
" Fine, but you have to listen to me and no seeking around only when asked too by someone in our pack. You'll also have to stay by my side, so I can keep an eye on you. So what should we call you," Sky told the man as he gave her the crystal.
" My name is William the fist, but now we'v got to leave before..." William started before being cut off by a big hairy man.
" Hey you scrony mut give me my christal back," the big hairy man yelled as they began to run for there lives.
" You stole the christal," Lupied Yelled as they continued to run.
" Yeah, what would you have expected," William grinned chuckling a little bit. They somehow ran out of the mountain valley faster than when they came there.
" Why would you do steal it?" Lupid angrily asked as they made it into a cave they could hide in.
" How else am I supposed to get it, plus I didn't have any money," William panted sitting down trying to make his breathing stable.
" Haha, good job," Sky laughed as her and Lupid sat down by the cave wall.
" Sky don't congratulate him," Lupid exlamed
" But that was fun. Plus it's close to my motto," Sky smirked as she carefully made fire to keep them warm during the night.
" So you dabble in Thievery," William smirked getting up as he brushed himself off.
" Yep I do," Sky replies standing up taking a step back from the warm fire.
" Well Madam you.." William tried to flirt but was cut off.
" Don't call me that, my names Sky and I'll take first patrol," Sky says with an angered tone as she walked to the mouth of the cave.
" What's with her?" William asked Lupid who was still sitting on the cold cave ground by the fire as he sat down near Lupid.
" It's a long story," Lupid replied getting her sleeping place ready near the fire as William did the same.
" Oh, okay," William replied as they then fell asleep in the cold cave. About three hours past and Sky switched places with Lupid. About three hours that Lupid switched with William.
