His ocean blue eyes roamed around the hall, as if searching for someone, while a small smirk played on his lips. He ran a hand through his soft black hair as everyone stopped what they were doing and stared, but he ignored the looks directed at him and continued to search for something. And then his eyes landed on me.

Our eyes stayed locked on each other, and my thoughts exploded, completely leaving my head. His jaw clenched ever so slightly and then he beamed, starting towards me. He was beautiful, I thought, watching his eyes crinkle at the corners as he moved past people to get to our table-

Wait, what? He was coming here?

I glanced at my best friends from the corner of my eye and saw their mouths hanging open, as they watched the new guy make his way towards us. He was definitely hot, so I guess Maddy wasn't exaggerating this time and it startled everyone to see someone actually good looking enter this school... but here he was.

I turned my head back and squeaked quietly when my vision was filled with muscle. Eight – to be precise – mouth-watering abs, pressed firmly against a blue shirt. I bit my lip, stopping the urge to poke whoever owned these godly abs and confirm that they're real. Instead I tilted my head up, warily eyeing the 6ft giant that towered over me.

"U-uhm hi?" My voice came out hoarse, like I was trapped in a hot desert, thirsty for water – or well, some delicious abs.

Nope. Shush. Damn you thoughts, go to hell.

"Hey." He grinned down at me, with the cutest dimpled smile ever, his voice low and husky as he dropped his bag onto the table and sat down beside me.

I slowly turned back to face my friends, feeling the stares of the rest of the school burning into the back of my head. They must have been curious as to why he'd sit next to me of all people – so was I, but I was too afraid to open my mouth and let out my jumbled words in front of him.

Maddy's eyes flickered between the two of us, asking if we knew each other and I shook my head slightly, warning her to keep quiet.

We all sat in an awkward silence and I wondered whether or not the new guy regretted sitting with us. But he spoke again, acting like everything was normal.

"I'm Jasper." He stated, eyeing us all, "you guys?"

"Maddy."

"Charlie."

Another awkward moment of silence passed and it took me a moment to realise all three of them had their eyes on m, waiting for me to say my name.

"I'm-"

"Jasper! Why are you sitting here?!"
