Out of the Darkness into the Swamp

Sunlight, natures most beautiful. Of all the things created in our universe, many believe that sunlight is the most beautiful creation of all. Full of forms of energy, it brings beauty to everything it touches, and brings life into worlds. On a particularly sunny day, the Kingsmelt stone men and women were all outside of their huts, and were working outside. Kingsmelt people are found only on the planet Glim-53, and they are some of the most remote life forms the universe knows of. The stone men and women have chosen to seclude themselves for thousands of years, for they feared the universe around them. The stone people were huge when compared to Phantorians (nearly six of these life forms stacked a top of one another would be as tall as a Kingsmelt person). Many of the stone creatures had various forms of vegetation on their sides, and most of this vegetation was moss. The Kingsmelt people never ate food, nor hunted for their enjoyment; rather they drank water as their means of energy, and the vegitation that grew on them produced their energy. To seclude themselves as well as they could, the trees on Glim-53 were created much taller than the Kingsmelt people, so no other world could study them easily. The Kingsmelt people valued the creation of monuments and buildings above anything else, so many red brick buildings were scattered around the world. Glim-53 itself is a largely swamp filled planet, and the only areas that are not swamp were the few oceans around it. Because the atmosphere is so thick and dense, a constant fog is around the surface of the planet, yet the giants took no notice of this, due to their extreme size.

Aside from the Kingsmelt people, other forms of life lived in peace here. From birds to land mammals, every animal lived in peace on this planet. Soaring around the skies were various bird-like life forms, most of which were white. The most common flying creature was called a scally by the Kingsmelt people, and these birds were symbols of life for them. Scally's have very long wings, and small oval-like bodies. They also have no neck, for their heads are attacked to their oval body. To feed themselves, these magnificent creatures dive bomb into the oceans, and eat various forms of (what humans call) fish. On the land of Glim-53 lives the carmians, a wolf-like creature which are grey and black. Packs of carmians roam the swamp lands, and they have been known to climb into trees to kill and eat scallys. On the less appreciated side of creatures that roam the planet, the vengrarg species is a rat-like creature who was hated by most of the giants. These pesky animals are a nuisance to the ecosystem, and they burrow inside of the trees for their shelter. The Kingsmelt people despise vengargs, for they constantly destroy their spectacular creations.

On this sunny day while the hardworking Kingsmelt people created anything they could think of, many thought it was just another normal day. Nothing had happened on the planet in around one year, and nothing was thought to happen again for some time. The people worked on their various creations day by day, because what else would you do if you had over five-thousand years to live? Did I forget to mention that the Kingsmelt people can live to be five-thousand years old, because that is one defining characteristic about them. While the reproduction of these creatures is very rare, there are around one-thousand that roam the planet at all times. One largely important Kingsmelt person, was the grand master of Glim-53 who was named grand master Zoyendar. Grand master Zoyendar was four-thousand and seventy years old at the time of this story, and he had a large leafy beard that ran down his body. Facial vegitation was seen as a fashion statement for the Kingsmelt people, as they cannot grow any natural facial hair (that wasn't moss of course). Aside from his large green beard, Zoyendar had many defining cracks in his stone around his body, for he had adventured around the planet for all of his life. Zoyendar worked outside on this sunny day, and he used his one-sided axe to chop down wood for a new hut. Noticing Zoyendar was working in a different area than normal today, a villager walked up to him.

"Grand master Zoyendar, I apologize for the interruption, but how is the new hut coming along?" the Kingsmelt woman named Allemenia asked him. Allemenia had very pretty yellow flowers running down the sides of her algae-like hair, and she was much shorter than Zoyendar. "Corteroy would like some help fixing his hut when you are done, as a hole has appeared in the roof. He needs you specifically because you built it yourself, and I have been looking for you all morning."
