Autumn wind

I sit in my seat
And look out-
Through the window
The image outside
Is slowly moving,
With my eyes
Following each
Gently, with curiosity.
I open the window
And tilt a bit-
When a wisp
Of autumn wind
Grazes my face
Leaving some marks
Of freshness
And nostalgia-
From the times
I am not sure of.

I want to watch
This story unfold-
That this autumn wind
Is blowing to tell.
So I lean in-
To take in the aroma
That fills me now.
This autumn wind
That passes by,
Tending to soothe
My exhausted eyes,
Straightening out
All my wrinkles-
Only wrinkling
My tightly sealed lips
Into rapturous smile.

I stretch back now
My eyes closed-
Not tightly shut,
Head on something soft,
I plug in music-
Which slowly
Carries me away.
Lost in myself
With this wisp
Of autumn wind,
That doesn't miss
To leave a kiss
Weaving through
My frizzy hair,
As I slip away
Into a quiet slumber.
