Chapter 26

Jason
It had been 3 days since Mercedes disappeared. I had looked everywhere and still no sign of her. She wasn't answering my calls or texts and I was starting to worry. I decided to call Faith.
She picked up on the 3rd ring.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Faith?"

"Yes?"

"Hey listen its Jason. Have you heard from Mercedes recently?"

"No. Why?"

"She left the other night but I haven't seen her."

"Did you ask Shane?"

"No."

"What about Blake?"

My hands balled up in fists.

"Thankyou." I hung up and called Shane. He picked up on the 2nd ring.

"Yo."

"Shane do you know where Mercedes is?"

"With Blake at the hospital I think."

"Hospital?!"

"I ran into them at the bar and beat the shit out of him."

"What hospital?"

"I don't know. Sorry."

I sighed, thanked him, and hung up. Now to find the hospital. I called all the hospitals in the area asking for a patient by the name of Blake. I didnt know his last name which was why I wasnt getting very far in the search. Mercedes wasnt answering so I couldnt ask her but by the looks of the amount of time that they have known each other, I am guesing she wouldnt know either. Sighing, I realized I would have to drive to each hospital. I called Shane again for more information. Doubting I'd get any, I called anyway just to double check. The phone rang 3 times before he answered.

"Jesus christ dude what do you want?" An annoyed Shane asnwered.

"Where where you when you beat Blake up?"

"A bar.."

"What bar?"

"I dont know let me ask."

Confused, I waited.

"Its called All Shots."

"Thankyou."

"Yup. Oh and Jason?"

"Yes?"

"If you find her.."

"When I find her." I interupted.

"Right whatever, When you find her, can you tell her i'm sorry?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because its not my place to appologize."

He sighed.

"Okay fine."

We said our goodbyes and I hungup.

I drove to the bar and found Blakes truck. The doors were unlocked and the keys were still in the ignition. WhAt a doof. I got in and called Shane.

"I swear if you call me one more time."

"Calm your shit. You want Mercedes correct?"

"Fuck yes."

"Then I need your help."

"Im in."
