Damn, I got to start coming up with descriptions. At least I do know the plotline for this one.
Jamie Archer is a hunter who, despite being very serious in the line of work, is socially awkward. He tends to remain quiet, preferring his thoughts more than people.
Before Jamie became a hunter, though, he met Kieron Price, Alpha and sole Lycan of the Preman Pack, and Jamie's fated. (I didn't want to say 'mate' because I feel like its over-used). Before Kieron could stake his claim, Jamie left, leaving both of them sort of...withdrawn.
Several years later, Jamie receives a mission to investigate a pack suspected to have some involvement with several missing reports and possible murders, which leads him right back to the Preman back and Kieron.
Know full well that Kieron is his fated, Jamie is forced to reconsider which side he takes. The Hunters' or His Fated's.
I'm going to like writing this one. I feel like it's going to be a good story!
Update!
I finally wrote a description, but it's going to be a portion of the book. Sorta like a preview! Anyways here it is:
I jump up, gripping into a tree branch as I quickly ascended upward to avoid the giant wolves' snapping jaws. My mask made it hard to breathe as I continued pulling myself up the tree, stopping once the branches began thinning. Once I was at a safe enough distance, I scanned my surrounding for a way to escape. There was a river not far from where I was, but the distance between here and there was too great. I would never make it.
A massive wolf approach, its hackles raised as its growls vibrated through the ground-an alpha. I reached for my dagger, using all my strength to keep myself balanced. If this beast decides to jump, I'll be slashing it in the face before it takes me down.
The other wolves made way for their alpha, some ducking the head demurely and others whimpering submissively. The alpha stopped at the base of my tree, locking its black eyes with mine before its body began morphing. My eyes widened.
"Shit." I began frantically looking for the nearest tree I could jump to; maybe I could tree hop towards the river? No, I'm an assassin class hunter, not a monkey.
"Get down, hunter. I won't say it twice." I ignored the man below as I ran different scenarios through my head. However, my thoughts were quickly interrupted as my tree began shaking violently. My foot slipped, and I promptly dropped my dagger to keep myself from falling completely.
"Double shit." I tighten my arms around the branch, not caring that by doing so, I have hindered my breathing. The tree began shaking once more, but not as violently. I couldn't look down, but I didn't need to as a hand took hold of my ankle and yanked me down.
I twisted my body, swinging my free leg over to the culprit in an attempt to get them to release me. The female wasn't anticipating an attack and jumped back from my kick. Good, I'm free.
"Gotcha." A strong pair of arms wrapped around me, pinning my arms in the process. "You're not going anywhere, pup, and I would like some answers."
Triple shit.
