Arunadevi was the last person I expected to meet today. My brows knitted in question. I took the card, before I ask him about the details. A stream of people were coming towards my room. Among the whole crowd, even without any introduction, I can easily spot her. Among all the chaos, I did a little research about Chiranjay's family background. She was surrounded by the Principal, Vice Principal, Her dorm head, Chief Dormitory Head, Chief HOD. If it is because they were all bent or she is walking with her head high, she look tall enough in the crowd. I pasted a gentle smile and waited for her in front of my door.

Though I looked very calm and composed outwardly, but my mind was a mess. As Chiranjay has already mentioned that this arrangement was not favored by his family, which was felt in yesterday's call as well. Is she here to negotiate to break up? But the news is already out, what reason would she come up to break it? Or Is she hear to threaten me? Why such a sudden visit? And that too, she could have asked me to meet, why the personal visit? And more importantly when Chiranjay is out of station! Is it her plan to send him out of station and deal with her?

I had to wait for all the questions to be answered. I greeted her and all the people with a little bow, smiled and showed the way to my living hall.

Once everyone was inside, "I will order some beverages and snacks for you all." I told them in general.

"That's not needed Teekshana, You come and sit next to me." Arunadevi told in a very booming voice. Her voice was neither loud nor shrill, but it has the compelling feel to the person who is heard. Chiranjay had gotten his mesmerizing voice from his mother. I was drawn towards her to sit next to her. But with a thud I stopped and looked at the crowd watching me. All the people were standing in front of her, though there was a place to sit, but how can I sit when my principal and chief staff were standing. Sensing my hesitation, Arunadevi looked at Principal "Mr.Damodhar, I would like to talk to her in private." she informed the Principal.

"Of course your highness. Of course. Please take your time." he hurriedly replied Arunadevi.

He looked at me with a very warm smile, "Teekshana, you do not need to hurry, take your time and do not need to worry about your classes or attendance for today." he gently informed me.

With a series of polite farewell, the room was vacant, except myself, Arunadevi and the Secretary.

"I will wait outside, your highness" with a gentle bow to both of us, Secretary went outside closing the door behind.

"Now comes the true color of the great highness Arunadevi"an imaginary headline flashed in front of my eyes and was eagerly waiting for her to throw a cheque or threat on my face to break the engagement.

But nothing of that sort happened, she was also looking at me with a little smile on her face.

"Come Teekshana, now you can come and sit next to me." she softly invited me.

As there was no reason to reject it now, and I did not see the need to reject it either. my initial thought was to sit opposite to her, as I needed lots of personal space. Only with very few people I could let go of my personal space. Definitely she is not of them. But I did not want to be impolite so I went and sat next to her, keeping lots of space in between.

But she didn't mind it either. Being a royal, it might be natural for them to leave lots of space it seemed, I thought to myself and waited for her to start the conversation.

She looked at me once again from head to toe and asked me, "How do you know my son?"

Ahh.. now the question answer session started, I mocked myself and replied to her. "Last week only, through the matchmaking program" I answered the truth.
