Tyler's POV!
Chapter 7: Unexpected
Tyler's POV
I closed my eyes one second, then looked up at the blue sky. No clouds flew up there, but still, the breeze ruffled my hair. I wanted the world to just be like it was before. Before They came. Memories swirled around me, almost like I could touch them.
*FLASHBACK*
"Tyler! You have to clean your room! It looks just like you have thrown all your things around!" My mum's voice rung in my head.
"Mum! I will, as soon as I can!" I sighed. Mum always order me to clean up.... my room, my head, my clothes.... All the time... I'm getting tired of it.
"Right." Mum sighed, then walked downstairs, where I were standing. She ignored me and walked right past me to the kitchen. I walked outside instead, tired of everything. Our house was a big one. A really large house.. My dad was rich and the house was luxurious. But I liked our last house better, the cozy, red one, with the large bonfire...
I ran into the forest, feeling the wind in my face. While running, I changed. I changed from Tyler the human to the animal Tyler, the one who didn't care about anything, the one that had no worries. Hands became paws, skin became fur, hair became mane, and the tail grew out of my back.
I was the king of all animals. The lion.
Small animals squeaked and disappeared as I flew past. Lions can run longer than you can imagine, but this day, I was not in the right mood for running. I found the silent lake in the middle of the forest where I sat down. And changed back.
This lake was my thinking-place. The place I went to when I was confused, sad, and had problems. It helped, really. When I sat there, I found solvings on even the most difficult problems. My place.
The reason I were there now, was that my bigger brother had disappeared, without a single track to follow. How could that happen? My brother, Tom, was the kindest human in the world. He did not have any enemies. Not Anyone. A normal person would have some. Even I had some enemies. But Tom had not. So why him? And how?
That was the question I asked myself when I heard a sound. It sounded almost like a... twig... Someone broke a twig. Someone...
I rose to my feet in a moment, my gaze sweeping over the landscape. Nothing. Nothing at all. But... I heard that sound loudly....
