____________________EVIE HAD earned herself a cottage thanks to Doug. It was a big one, off campus, were she housed Mal, Dizzy, herself and I over the summer. The exterior was mostly made of stone slabs and there was a glass dome at the side. A sign was mounted outside, a symbol of a crown and a heart craved on it, and reading Evie's 4 Hearts.
I can proudly say I helped come up with that name.
Carlos helped me off his motorcycle. I had the key, but I rang the doorbell anyways so I didn't have to fetch it out.
"Hey you two." Mal smiled as she let us in.
Dizzy waved from the couch, a bowl of cold ice cream in her hands.
"What're you guys up to?" I asked, hoping to get busy of some sort.
Mal shrugged. "Nothing, actually. Dizzy and I were just talking."
Dizzy, spoke up, wiping her glasses clean. "Evie's designing in her quarters, but we didn't want to disturb her, so Mal suggested ice cream."
Dizzy was the sweetest most innocent girl ever. Her green-themed, and multi-accessories outfit matched her creative personality.
"Do I get ice cream?" Carlos smirked.
Mal sat back down, picking up her bowl. "Help yourself. You know where the kitchen is." She replied dismissively.
"Want any?" He turned to me.
"Sure. Thanks." I took a seat next to Mal as Carlos disappeared into the kitchen, "Bored out of your mind too?"
"Yep." Mal raised an eyebrow. "I thought I was the only one."
I chuckled. "Trust me, you're not."
Just then, Evie entered the living room in a huff, looking a little upset. "I give up!" She announced, throwing her hands up in the air as Doug trailed behind her.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"She's struggling with her designs." Doug explained.
"I just need inspiration!" Evie sighed, hands on her hips.
Carlos' head peeked around the kitchen door. "More ice cream?" He asked Doug and Evie casually.
"We're down." Doug answered for both of them.
"Coming right up."
"We needa get away." I frowned, "Go somewhere outside Auradon Prep before we lose our minds."
"We can do that?" Dizzy asked, squealing slightly.
Doug nodded. "Now that it's summer, yeah. They're not gonna care where you go."
"I like the idea of getting away." Evie smiled, "Maybe I'd get some kind of inspiration."
"Where to, though?" Mal said, after taking another bite of her ice cream.
"We can go into town." Doug took a seat at the table, "It's just an hour away and some of us can drive-"
"O-Kay!" Carlos grinned like a child as he entered the living room with four bowls of ice cream on a tray, "What did I miss?"
"I guess we're going to town tomorrow." I said before thanking him for the ice cream.
The next day was hot, but breezy. Jay was driving- and I had to admit, he was a better driver than I thought. I guess Ben taught him well. Dizzy and Evie were commenting on every house we drove by.
