PHILIPPINES' POV
A Week After the American InvasionI entered my school with my mind blank and never thought of something. I've been like this since the day the Americans and Filipinos created a big war. I could still remember every event that happened in our land, even though I tried to force myself to forget them or my fear might trigger again.
I stopped walking after I heard a feminine voice call my name. It was J.
"Hi, Philip-kun," greeted Japan.
We're not classmates. She was in the same section as North Korea. We've been friends since Taiwan introduced her to me back in the last Acquaintance Party we had.
She was fun to be with. J was good at drawings and she was one of the greatest artists in the world. She with her fellow Japanese created the most famous Anime. Animations with cool characters became famous which made other countries learn the Japanese language.
Same with Sorea (South Korea), she was good at singing, but I knew I was better than her. Their songs were so new. It was like a modern-styled kind of music that could reflect their creativity.
Speaking of creativity, the Japanese were known for their Hi-tech technologies.
I smiled at J as she walked closer to me. "Hey, Japan!"
"I'm sorry about what happened back last week. I heard about that."
"Nah. You don't need to be sorry. I was hoping the relationship between Filipinos and Americans will be good."

When the class hours were done, I was with J walking to the exit. Because of being known in the whole school, every country we passed was greeting her by saying 'Konnichiwa' to each other. It's a Japanese word. She is very good at social skills. It's easy for her to be friends with the others.
As we reached the school gate, a red car stopped in front of us. The car window was set down and revealed a woman who smiled at her daughter.
Japan was friendly, yes, but her mother... was being feared by other countries, mostly the Asian ones. The Imperial Japan or the Japanese Empire. It was hard to be close to her because she was some kind of strict and... I don't know how to describe her.
Another fact, she was a leading commander of their land's army forces. I mentioned their technologies, remember? Their army has warships and aircraft that were massive and used to invade countries, but they haven't done one from now.
Japan went to her mother, leaving me standing near the gate.
I was surprised when Imperial Japan called my name and asked me if they could drive me home.
'Phil, don't come with her.' said Martial from my mind.
"Why?" I silently asked back.
'She was an ally of the international invader from Europe. Heard about Nazi Germany?'
"N-No... Oh, you mean Germany's dad?"
'Yeah. The one who invaded Poland, your friend.'
"How do you know all of this?"
'I-I don't know...maybe because I'm a soldier?'
"Philip-kun, would you allow us to drive you home?" asked Japan again.
"Okay,"
I don't want to believe what they say about Imperial Japan. Back in the war, they also sent help to the Filipinos to defeat the Americans. She seems kind-hearted, from my perspective. Maybe the others said Imperial Japan was bad because, in the previous days, she scolded China face-to-face for bullying J.
