Chapter 3:High

Seonghwa parked outside the school waiting for his kids.

They came one by one in the car.

Seonghwa noticed something was wrong.

"Where's Yeosang?" asked the concerned parent.

The car fell silent.

"He go detention."Yunho answered.

" What!? Why!"

" I'm sure he'd prefer if he told you."Yunho shrugged.

Seonghwa looked at San in shock.

" What happened to you!"

San had fresh bruises on his face which were pretty hard to hide.

"I got in a fight."he answered without hesitating as if waiting for his parent to ask the question.

"Why!?" Seonghwa asked with a mixture of anger and worry.

"Somebody was bullying Jongho and I did what I had to do."

"Jongho is this true?"

"Yeah" he replied with a small voice from the back of the car.

"San I'm glad you were standing up for your brother but violence is never the answer. Next time don't do that okay?"

"Okay."He heaved a heavy sigh.

"Did you get caught?"

"Yeah."

"And?"

"I was given a warning after I explained what Hyunjin did to Jongho."

"Hyunjin!?Ya know I've never liked that kid."Seonghwa shook his head as he drove down the street.

" Right!? "the others replied in unison.

Mingi was invited to Yugyeom's house to hang out.

He walked to his room and found the whole gang there, Jinyoung, Jaebum and Jackson.

The room was full of smoke. Mingi wasn't surprised. His friends were huge stoners.

"Hey guys."

"Mingi wasss up man."

"My parents are gone until next week. Which means we can get high for as long as we want!" Yugyeom spoke way to close in Mingi's face.

Mingi pushed away his high friend.

"Yayy" he said in a sarcastic tone.

He wondered why was friends with them. But then he remembered how fun they were and all the memories they've had together. He loved his stoner friends either way.

"Wanna take a hit."Jackson passed the blunt to Mingi's face.

" We talked about this guys. I don't wanna do this stuff."

"Come oon. It will help you forget about your insecurities. If you take this you'll forget things such as beauty standards, money, relationships, depression and whatnot. With this, you go to a whole new world."

"A whole new wooorld."Jinyoung sang.

" So what do you say? "

Mingi had always want to forget about his insecurities. Even just for a while. And if that was the solution then so be it.

He took the blunt in his fingers and passed it to his lips.

His friends watched in anticipation.
