Chapter 17:Truth

Tension was thick and heavy in the air.

Kyulkyung was trying her best to avoid Wooyoung's gaze but that seemed to be difficult as he was boring holes into her skull.

"Answer me. What the hell are you doing with him!? You know what he did to our family! Right!?"  Wooyoung angrily shouted.

"I know what he did but that doesn't mean he is a bad person. He's actually sorry for what he did and promised to change-"

"If he was sorry then he wouldn't have done what he did!" Wooyoung proved to be stubborn once more.

Seonghwa gave his son a firm glare and said"I am indeed sorry for what I did. I really am. If I could go back in time to change what I did. I would.You guys mean the wolrd to me and I love you more than anything."

"Really?"Yeosang breathed out with hope in his eyes.

Seonghwa have him a small warm and honest smile."Really. But what I'm not going to apologize for is helping out Kyulkyung. She was in distress and I was more than willing to give her a hand."

Wooyoung looked at them back and forth with a mixture of anger and confusion.

"What the hell does that mean!" Wooyoung was growing frustrated by the second which made Kyulkyung very uneasy.

But she was determined to stand her ground and put her point across one way or another.

"The other day I bumped into Seonghwa at the convinient store. He sensed something was up and I opened up to him for I had no other person to tell-"

"No other person? What about me! I'm right here!"

"I know that but I also knew you wouldn't understand. If I had told you you would have refused and get angry the way you are now!" Kyulkyung desperately exclaimed.

Wooyoung sighed in frustration."For the love of christ can you just tell what the fuck is going on-"

"I got an abortion!" Kyulkyung shouted with tears pricking her eyes

Wooyoung stood there. Rooted in place trying to process the words that had come out of the girls mouth.

"You....... what.. YOU WHAT!?" Wooyoung thundered in anger and grabbed Kyulkyung by her collar, choking her.

Yeosang's eyes widen and he immediately sprung into action and tears Wooyoung's tight grip off her.

"Why the fuck would you do that!"

"I'm not ready to be a mother! Why can't you understand that! "

"We could've raised our child together. Just you and I. Nothing more nothing less! But you had to go and fuck it up!"

"I don't regret doing what I did  but I am sorry for not getting you involved. But if i did you would've totally freaked out like right now."

Wooyoung was taking in deep breaths. He felt like he could just smack the girl right in the face any second.

"Wooyoung you have to understand its her body. She can do whatever she wants with it."Yeosang said, trying to convince his brother.

"That's not fair! How could she do that to me! She killed my little girl before she was even born!"

Kyulkyung furrowed her brows in confusion once she heard this.

"Little girl? We don't even know what gender it was going to be!"

"Well thanks to you we'll never find out!"

"Guys you're making a scene!" Yeosang hissed and pointed at the by standers who were watching the whole thing.

Kyulkyung and Wooyoung just shot  glares at him to shut him up, which in fact he did.

Kyulkyung couldn't believe what was going on. The boy she had fallen in love with was looking at her as if he didn't know her.

As if she was some disgusting creature that he just wanted to kill and get rid off.

This wasn't the boy she had fallen in love with. What happened?

"You fucking murder how can you even live with yourself! You selfish bitch why would you do that!?"

Those words seemed to snap a chord in Kyulkyung as she overflowed with rage.

"Because I don't want kids! I'm not ready to be a mother! I don't want to spend the rest of my teenage years changing diapers and breastfeeding. I want to live life while I'm still young!If you want a kid so bad how about you go fuck some other girl since you're so good at that! Asshole!" And with that she she raised her hand and slapped him right across the face.

Everyone was in shock.

Especially Wooyoung.

"Come on Seonghwa let's go."she grabbed the male by the hand and walked away.

" Bye kids!" he waved with enthusiasm

" Bye dad! "Yeosang waved back just as happy as his father.

Wooyoung chose to ignore him for he was angry at Seonghwa for what he had done.

" You have a lot to think about. You're better than this, Wooyoung."Yeosang said and left Wooyoung to himself.

Wooyoung touched his cheek that was stinging in pain.

What the hell just happened? He thought to himself.

He stood on there on the sidewalk, drowning in a sea of emotions and thoughts.

Two days ago

Kyulkyung was walking down the convinient store isle absentmindedly.

She was stressed lately.

She knew stress was bad for the baby but she couldn't help it.

She didn't even want that baby in the first place.

'What the hell I'm I gonna do? My parents are gonna kill me! I'll miss out on my teenage life because I'll be too busy raising a kid!'

She went to grab a carton of milk but another hand beat her to it

She turned to see who it was and her eyes slightly widen.

"Wooyoungs dad?"

"Call me Seonghwa."he said with a small smile."How are you?"

"I'm good" Kyulkyung shook her head once those words escaped her lips"Actually no. I'm not doing good. I'm having a really bad time right now."she sighed in defeat.

Seonghwa coudlnt help but worry."And what seems to be the matter."

Seonghwas gentle voice seems to put Kyulkyung at ease and made her comfortable enough to open up to him

"I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do."she said with tears welling in her beautiful eyes.

Seonghwa eyes widen in shock but he decided to put his shock aside and help the poor girl.

" Do you want to keep the baby? "

Kyulkyung's breath hitched" I'm I allowed to do that? Would it even be fair?"

" Of course it will. It won't be fair to have a baby you don't want and youre not ready to raise. You're perfectly entitled to make this decision and put yourself first."

"You're right. I'm going to be a mother but not today."she said with a firm tone." Will you help me? "

Seonghwas motherly instinct got the better of him and brought the girl into a warm hug.

Kyulkyung hugged him back for she really needed it at the moment.

" Of course."
