~~~Jayden's pov~~~
Today is Richard, and Hayden's first day of high school. Richard is five and Hayden is seventeen. I know it's weird for a five year old to be in high school, but we couldn't leave him alone for to long, other wise he'll pass out. I had to go to a pack meeting today then after that paper work.
"Jayden my sources say that the silver blood pack is growing and are heading this way. We still don't know why, but I have a really bad feeling about it." My beta, and closest friend, Ethan says in a weary tone. I nod telling everyone to leave, and start in on my paper work.
~~~fast forward two hours~~~
I was halfway through some papers when my phone started ringing. I click the answer button without looking at the number, because most of the time the pack just mind links. "I'm not interested in whatever it is your selling bye." Before I end the call a gentle voice comes through the speaker if the phone. "Hold on. I'm not selling anything." I tell her I'm listening. 'This better be good.' I thought to myself.
"Are you Mr Jayden Abbott?" She asks in a professional but cold tone. "Yes now who the hell are you?" "Hi, my name is Angelus. Your friend Richard is in the hospital and he asked me to call. He is alright, the doctor says he will be just fine, but I won't tell you the details over the phone." "We'll be right there." I say in a rush tone.
We say our goodbyes and she tells us to be careful. Before we hang up I head a gun shot. "What the hell was that!?" I hear Angelus's breath hiches. "I have to go." She ends the call before I could protest.
'Oh God.' I couldn't hear anything as I mind link Hayden, Ethan, and three others. *I want you five to head over to the human hospital now. Richard and a friend of his are in trouble.* *We're on it sir * Ethan say quickly, and even more quickly I hear one of the packs van pull out on the road going towards town.
~~~half hour later~~~
*Jayden.* Ethan mind links me as I'm pacing back in forth in my office. *Ethan! Please tell me everything and one is alright.* I have been thinking the worst ever since that girl, Angelus hung up the phone after gun shots rung through the speaker.
*Everything is fine, man. Angel took care of a little unexpected visit three to be exact from the Silver blood pack for us. They were after Richard apparently.* I breath a sigh of relief.
*You say she took care of them. How, what did she do?* Angelus sounded human when we talk, so how could she take down three werewolves. *She shot them in the head while they were in the hospital room.*
'Wow I'm impressed.' I thought to myself. For a human girl to take down three men, that's pretty impressive. *Thank you Ethan.* I link back. *Not a problem sir, also she said she'd call tomorrow so she can return Richard's phone. She's taking it with her so she can repair it. Thought I would give you a warning since your number is the only one she has.*
I disconnect the link after telling him I'd make sure I'd keep my phone with me at all times.
At the end of the day I head on to bed thinking about the girl who saved my son twice. "Angel."
