When I saw Beverly and Bill kiss, the pain was worse than anything I felt. Two people that I trusted just turned on me. My eyes filled with salty tears. I run out of the house and into the yard. I didn't realize Mike and Eddie were following me.
"Stan, what's wrong?" Eddie asks.
"Bill and Bev kissed!" I cried out. Mike engulfed me in a hug to try and get me to calm down. I was crying to the point I could vomit.
"Stan, we'll take you home. You can leave a note for Bill," Eddie tells me. Mike goes to get the car while Eddie finds Richie. I get in the car next to Mike. He hands me a pen and a piece of paper. I write:
Hey Bill,
I'm sorry for forcing you to love me all these years. I always knew you loved Bev more than you loved me. If you really need to get me, I'm at Eddie's. I love you so much and you hurt me. 2 1/2 years down the drain.
I finish writing when we get to Bill's. I stick the note on our nightstand and I grab everything I need. I know he won't come for me. 2 1/2 years of my life. Down the drain, I love you.
