"Is she waking up?" I made a disgruntled noise and knitted my eyes brows together.

"Hey doctors! She's waking up!" I heard the sound of beeping and people moving back and forth in the halls. My eyes fluttered open to see a new face in front of me. His hair was blonde, green eyes, and a strong jaw line. In all, he was handsome. I looked around the room to see curtains and the usual hospital beige colored walls. Great. I'm in the hospital.

"Hey are you alright?" the blonde beauty asked me.

"Huh? I think so." I tried sitting up and a pain emitted from my head and my side.

"Don't try to sit up. You got hurt pretty bad. You had a lot of blood loss too." He laid me back down gingerly giving me a small smile.

"I'm sorry to ask but.. who are you?"

"The name's Liu,"  he replied still having a smile on his face. I had questioned him on how and where he found me. Apparently he found me lying on the ground, out cold. Large cut on my left side and lots of blood coming out of it. I could see from my arms that I got bruised up. Possibly from all the falling I did. But I don't remember getting cut on my left side.

Liu said that he had heard yelling from the woods and that was when he found me. After some time of talking the nurse said that visiting hours were over. He said his goodbyes and left, promising to see me tomorrow. I didn't question the stranger named Liu coming to visit again because I enjoyed his company.

I sat up a bit in bed; watching cartoon on a small television to the corner of the room, barley visible to even know whats going on. It was dark and quiet. The quiet was just what I needed. But then when it's quiet I start thinking, and when I start thinking, I think of the bad things to come. I was doubting Dezy would come visit me. Her being busy and all. She's probably still on her trip. But what if she didn't know i was in the hospital?

I hope I can get out soon. Just as I started to drift into the world of dreams, I heard the window creak open.

"God damn it!" The raspy voice whispered. Not him... If it's him God strike me dead now. I pretended to be asleep, maybe thinking he would leave me be. I heard a light thud and footsteps walking towards my bedside.

"You're lucky Liu came to save you. You probably don't know who he is. You'd be shock to find out."

How does he know Liu?

"But I guess you'll never find out. Because I have the perfect opportunity right now to kill you off. But I won't. I'll let this game go on a little more." I once again heard light footsteps but they were walking away. The window creaked again and then it was silent again. Nothing to be heard. I opened my eyes to see a dark empty room.

The next morning I woke to some unpleasant noise.

"Wake up sweetie!" The annoying nurse called as she pulled the curtains away to reveal the bright thing called the sun. It just keeps coming back to bring brightness to the world. My nurse walked over to the side of my bed and placed a tray of food on my table.

"The doctor said you can leave today if you wish but a guardian has to come and pick you up."

"Why so sudden? I've only been in for a night or two?"

"Honey you've been in for almost a week."

"Oh," I replied dryly. The nurse exited the room, leaving a silence that was filled with me chewing on my hospital food. I spent hours just waiting. I began to think about what Jeff had talked about. He wanted to keep the "game" going. Whatever that meant. But I wonder how he knew Liu. Had Liu been one of Jeff's victims that actually survived? Or did Liu know Jeff before he snapped and Jeff was just keeping an eye on him?
