Why did I bother? I was totally fucked at this point. I was definitely a moron. All that just to find out he only needed a "few minutes" before he was back on his feet. My mind was blank; couldn't find any way of exit on this one. I could only let out a nervous laugh.

"Now let's think rationally about this, Jeff," I said shaky while putting my hands up in surrender. "Let's not get crazy and do anything we might regret."

"Oh honey, I went crazy a long time ago." His carved smile became even bigger as he stepped up to me. I stole a glance at what was behind me. Steep stairs. And lots of them. I inhale a shaky breath as I realized I was getting closer and closer to them. I needed to think of something quick or else I'd be going down them. As he grew closer, I stopped. Only being a few inches from the top. This didn't phase him at all. He seemed to like that I gave in. Probably made his job easier.

"Uh look. I'm sure Slender would be upset with you if you were to hurt me in any form. So let's just put this behind us and go find another house. Okay?" Jeff only gave me a blank stare for a few seconds but then busted into laughter.

"You think I'm going to forgive you just like that? You must definitely be one stupid bitch." He began to laugh even harder at this point. "Wow you are a trip sweetheart. But I think it's time you took a little adventure down the stairs." At this point he was in my face. And as I had slightly predicted, he pushed me down the large flight of stairs. As I went tumbling down them, I could almost hear a bone break or two. Everything was hurting. My chest, ribs, arms, and especially my head.

When I finally reached the end, I laid still on the floor. I felt lightheaded. I shut my eyes for a few moments and when I opened them again, Jeff was crouched over me. With his knife high in the air, he hit me with the butt of it. That was the last thing I saw before I knocked out.

When I woke up again it was dark outside, my head ached, and an angry Slender sat in the corner. I guess it was just the dark feeling I was getting from him that gave it away.

"Well 'Hello' to you too."

"I'm not in the mood for your idiotic games, child. Jeff told me what happened." Slender crossed his arms and kept "staring" at me. If you could even call it that though. "So are you going to give me your side of the story or will I have to go on his word?"

"Well I didn't expect you to offer that up but honestly I don't care at this point. I just want things normal again. In the beginning I wasn't even going to tell anyone. I'd only do it if I seriously wanted to die." Slender just nodded in response and left the room. I didn't get it. The purpose of all of this. It was stupid. Why not just let me free? I wasn't hurting anyone. None of this ever made sense.

A small knock came from the door and a somewhat tall gentleman entered the room.

"Who are you?" I inquired.

"Just the doctor of this place. Call me Dr. Smiley." It made sense. Not all of the "monsters" (I guess you could call them) were entirely invincible. I had an eerie feeling that he was one of them too. His dark red eyes kind of gave it away.

"So what's the news. I'm sure you came to tell me something." A smile crept onto his lips as he drew closer to my bedside.

"Ah, yes. Well it seems that from the flight of stairs, you supposedly went down, you broke a few ribs and had a slight concussion. Also a few bruises here and there but you'll be okay. I'm quite surprised you didn't slip into a coma or anything." The broken ribs did explain the pain in my chest when trying to breath. I assumed Dr. Smiley here would have known I went tumbling down some stairs considering Jeff told Slender what happened. I just wanted out of this stupid mansion and could only dream of being home. For now.
