He looked so stress free, so peaceful, like he didn't have a care in the world. Lori and Rick were sitting right by his side, not taking their eyes off him. I just stood in the doorway also looking at Carl. I needed to talk to him, at least be his friend.
Rick and Lori looked towards the door where I was standing, "you can come over here dear" Lori said. I slowly made my way over and stood at the end of the bed. "Im so glad you're ok, you mean more to me then i might make it seem. It's just hard for me to show emotion because I have only had one person in my life that cared about me" I thought to myself as I looked at Carl. "Aw Courtney he cares about you to" Lori said and Rick smiled. "What" I asked. "What you just said to him, he cares about you to" Lori answered. "Oh" I replied, "I didn't mean to say that out loud." "It's fine honey" said Lori.
I quickly walked out of the room and went to find a bathroom. Fuck I thought to myself. I slid against the wall at sat on the floor. I put my head against my knees and just sat there, sat there and thought about everything. Daryl, Carl, the group, my family... The fact that it's the end of the world.

I jumped up from Someone banging on the door, I didn't even know I fell asleep. "Courtney!" Daryl said i open the door to see him standing there relief washed over his face, "damnit Court you had me worried, the door was locked and you weren't answering me" he said "sorry Dare I fell asleep" I said.
He just hugged me... This is weird he never shows this kind of affection. I didn't question it, something had to be bothering him so I just hugged him back. Strangely this is what I needed, the silence wasn't awkward it was comforting. When Daryl pulled away he kissed my forehead and walked out of the bathroom.
