Jade was doing the dishes when the doorbell rang. She grabbed a towel to dry her hands as she walked to the door. She opened it and saw Elijah was standing there.
"Hello Jade." He said smiling at her. She smiled back.
"Hey, come in." She said as she moved to the side, letting Elijah in. They walked into the kitchen. Elijah sat down while Jade finished the rest of the dishes she had left.
"Would you like anything to drink?" She asked as she walked back over to him.
"I'm alright, thank you. I just wanted to see how you are doing."
"I'm alright." Jade said. She didn't want to admit that she was actually still scared, which is why she hasn't left her house all day. She felt comfort in her home. Elijah could tell something was not right but he didn't want to intrude. Elijah and Jade talked for a while, getting to know each other, which Elijah enjoyed. Even though Kol had told Elijah everything he knew about Jade, there was still so much more to learn. Elijah looked at the time and realized he had somewhere to be.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Jade. But I am afraid I have to leave." Elijah said standing up. Jade stood up, leading him to the door.
"Thank you, for spending time with me today. I enjoyed it." Jade said smiling.
"I enjoyed it as well. I will call you tomorrow, alright? If you need anything at all Jade, I am only a phone call away." Elijah said. Kol watched the whole interaction without either of the two knowing he was there. He will be enteral grateful to Elijah for taking care of Jade when he couldn't.

"Matt!" Five year Jade yelled as she ran into his bedroom. Matt shot up from his bed.
"What is it Jade?" He asked concerned. He saw Jade standing by his door with her favorite teddy bear in her hands.
"I had a bad dream." She said. Matt opened his arms and Jade ran straight into them. Matt pulled her onto his bed, cuddling his younger sister.
"Do you want to talk about?" He asked. Jade shook her head. "It might make you feel better." Jade took a big sigh.
"Okay. T-there was this man and he was very scary. He had dark eyes and pointy teeth. He also had red stuff around his mouth."
"Jade, did you watch any tv shows or movies with vampires in them?" Matt asked. Jade thought for a minute.
"No, I don't think so." Jade said. She looked up to her brother. "What is a vampire?" Matt sighed.
"Nothing Jade. Just go to sleep, you can stay here with me." Matt said not wanting to cause Jade any more nightmares.
"Thank you Matt." Matt smiled down at his sister, kissing her forehead.
