After Jade got ready for the party at school, she went downstairs to the kitchen.
"Matt?" She yelled.
"He's not here." Elijah said behind her. Jade jumped not knowing that he was there. She turned around.
"Don't do that! I did not let you come into my house to just scare me." Jade said. Elijah laughed at her.
"So did you keep up your end of the deal?" Elijah asked sitting down at her kitchen table.
"Yeah um." Jade said as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Kol said that he asked you to protect me." Jade walked over and sat across from Elijah.
"Good. So, how did it feel to meet your soulmate?" Elijah asked her.
"Um, weird. It felt like I could really touch him even though it was in my head." Elijah nodded, understanding her. Jade looked at the time. "Look, I gotta go. I have to go help my friend set up for the party tonight."
"Caroline right?"
"Do you know everything about my life?" Jade joked. Elijah smirked.
"Pretty much. I told you Kol never would stop talking about you." Elijah said causing Jade to roll her eyes. Elijah did notice the small blush that started to appear on Jade's cheeks. "Give me your phone." Jade handed him her phone unlocking it for him.
"What are you doing?"
"In case you ever need me give me a call." Elijah said handing her the phone back. Jade smiled.
"Thank you."
"Now get going. Don't want to be late." Elijah said smiling at her.
"Oh I already am."

"And you told my brother that you love him?" Jade asked walking down the hallway with Caroline.
"I know, I'm an idiot. I can't ever be with him. He'll hate me if he ever found out." Caroline said.
"Well one thing we can agree on." Jade said with a chuckle trying to lift the mood. "Look Care, you do love him right. You shouldn't have to hide that." Caroline sighed.
"But I can't tell him I am a vampire. I can't bring him into this life style. I mean, look at all of us. You and Elena were kidnapped! I was killed! And Stefan you know. I don't want to be the reason anything happens to him." Jade knew Careoline was right. She didn't want her brother getting dragged into all this supernatural drama and getting hurt because of it. She still thinks that he does deserve to know what really happened to their sister.
"Aw Care." Jade said and walked over pulling her into a hug. Caroline pulled away after a few seconds.
"I'm good. I'm good." She said as she wiped her tears away. "Thank you Jade, for always being here for me. Now I should take the boxes to the cafeteria. I'll let you leave if you want." Caroline said, knowing the only reason Jade came was for her.
