"Matt, come on! We're gonna be late for school." Jade yelled grabbing her bag.
"Are you alright love?" Kol asked Jade. For a couple of seconds Jade did not answer. "Jade?"
"Yeah, I'm alright." She said lying. Last night took a toll on her. Seeing how Elijah basically kidnapped her and then Elena almost killed herself made Jade miss their old life. Where there was no supernatural problems. But she would not admit this to anyone. What Jade did not know is that Kol could tell she was lying.
"Darling, please be honest with me." Kol begged. Jade did not want to admit her feelings. She was scared. Now that Elijah was 'gone' no one could protect Jade form Klaus. Jade knew that if it came down between her and Elena, everyone would choose Elena. She even felt that her own brother would, even though Elena broke his heart and is the reason her sister is dead. Kol was scared too. He was scared of what Klaus might do to Jade. Kol pissed him off plenty of times throughout the centuries they have been alive and now Kol has something he cares about. She is no longer a 'figment of his imagination'. Now that Jade was really here, Kol knew that Klaus could and possibly would use her against him.
"Jade!" Matt yelled, causing Jade to come out of her daze. "You okay?" Matt asked, concurred for his sister.
"Uh, yeah. Just thinking about my math test today." Jade said lying once again.
"You'll do great." Matt said to his younger sister. "Now come on. I have to put these flyers up from the grill."

"Oh, little Gilbert. You have a secret. I need you to teach me it. How do you do so well in school?" Jade said smirking while walking up to Jeremy.
"Jade, nice to see you too. My secret is studying. I'm guessing you're here to get me to help you study for your math test." Jeremy told her. After he got his act together not too long ago, Jermey was doing pretty will in school. Much better than Jade was doing.
"Bingo." Jade said. Jeremy smiled at her. As they were walking to the library, they passed Elena and Bonnie. Elena stopped Jade.
"Hey Jade."
"Elena." Jade said, clearly showing she did not wanting to in a conversation with Elena.
"Umm, well I was going to have a girls night at my house and was wondering if you would like to come. Bonnie and Caroline will also be there." Elena said. Jade really did not feel like going. Before Jade could answer, her eyes glazed over.
"You need to go." Kol's voice told her. "Get out of the house for once."
"I don't want to."
"Darling, please just go. You will have fun, I promise."
"Fine but only for you." Jade said agreeing. Jade could feel the smirk on Kol's face. Jade looked back at Elena. "Ugh fine." Elena smiled at Jade completely shocked that she said yes.
