8 years later

"i've said this before, if they're not willing to accept our terms of the contract, we're not closing the deal"

minho hangs the phone up in frustration, sliding his phone back into his pocket as he walks out of the office building.

"i'm going to fire him if he makes one more stupid mistake" he grumbles under his breath.

he stops as he approaches a stoplight, looking up at the night sky as he waits for the light to turn green.

i miss him.

he feels his phone buzz again and rolls his eyes, cursing under breath as he grabs his phone again, unlocking it to read the email.

just then, the traffic lights turned green, signalling for minho to continue walking. his eyes stayed glued to his screen while he walked across the street which seemed to be void of people.

it never occurred to minho how loud the car horns were. not until he lifted his eyes off the screen to look to his right.

the headlights shined right into his eyes, and they only got brighter as the car speeded in minho's direction.

his eyes widened as his body remains paralysed in fear. his phone had fallen onto the road, the screen slightly cracked.

before minho could think about anything else, the car slammed into minho and his breath was immediately knocked out from him.

minho lands on the road 5 feet away from where he previously stood. he hears the car screeching away from the scene of the accident.

he could hear his heartbeat in his ears, his vision was blurry with tears. despite the panic he was currently experiencing, he could only think of one person.

the sound of the panicked people crowding around him began to fade out, and pain in his lower body was getting too painful for him to bear.

his eyes fluttered shut, and a drop of tear rolls down his cheek. the concept of death had always been terrifying to minho. but now that he was on the verge of it, it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.

"im coming home, jisung"

minho feels a soft tap on his hand and he slowly finds the energy to open his eyes again.

he smiles softly as he stared at the familiar person squatting next to him.

"i missed you", jisung whispers as he gently wiped the tears off minho's cheek.

and minho found himself smiling like his 18 year old self again.
