[ chapter 1 ]

"So you're telling me that you're just going to throw away those years?! Those fucking long years we've been through?!"

[Y/N] with tearstained face, she looked up to the man sitting on the opposite side. Her [e/c] were giving him a harsh glare and all the while hiding her shattered heart. She was not prepared with what he brought for this dinner.

The young ravenette male hung his head in shame, "Forgive me darling but I need to take the big responsibility." Kagaya muttered

Her hands shook along with her body. Whatever that big responsibility he is talking about is shaking her to the core, it's as if something is clawing at her fragile heart and it almost made her gasp for air.

Silently calming herself down, she slowly picked up her chopsticks, trying to act normal while clasping the utensil with trembling hands. It felt like her arms were the actual noodles instead of the one in the bowl.

"This is nonsensical." Averting her gaze, [Y/N] motioned for her fiancé to start eating, "Ya-chan, we should eat first... Yeah? It'll be a waste--"

"[Y/N]."

She ignored him, as she struggled to pick a noodle, "Their noodle is so soft, hah." She awkwardly chuckled

"Darling? Why aren't you eating? Does the food not match your palette? I can order for another dish." She offered to him, slowly rising up to call someone to attend

"[Y/N] will you please listen to me? I beg you, please... Let me go."

In all honesty, she already saw him with a woman in their age. She noticed that her belly is a little bit bloated. The two were having a serious conversation and both were too engaged in the talk to notice her return from buying candied apples.

She knew that conversation has something to do with this. She knew it yet she hoped that it was just nothing but reality really hurts.

"Does it have to do with that girl earlier?" She meekly asked

Without even denying, Kagaya nodded his head yes. So he knew she was there? Hah. Unbelievable.

"Are you with joking me, Kagaya? If yes, it's not funny." She said as her grip on his hand tightened

The said man looked at her straight in the eyes. She felt her breath hitched under his emotionless stare.

"I am not." He spoke

Tears pricked the corners of her eyes, "You can't do this to me!" Lips trembling and voice wavering, she said

Ubuyashiki continued to stare at her coldly, "We need to end this relationship, I'm going to marry another girl." He paused "I need to take responsibility." He added

The young woman hang her head low, the tears streaming down her face continuously dropped to her lap silently as her heart shattered again.

"But I am your fiancee. I can still accept you even when you have someone's child.... Do everything but not this, love, not this one...." (Y/N) started to break into a sobbing mess begging her lover to stay even if he is about to have a child from another woman. It sounds pathetic but she just can't help it.

"(Y/N), please don't be selfish---"

In a split second she raised her head and snapped at the guy hell broke loose, "SELFISH?! YOU ARE CALLING ME SELFISH WHEN YOU ONLY THOUGHT OF PLEASURE! YOU ARE CALLING ME SELFISH WHEN IT WAS YOU WHO FUCKED ANOTHER WOMAN?! IT WAS YOU WHO IMPREGNATED HER! YOU! AM I NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!" She jabbed her finger to his chest. Unfiltered words came out of her mouth in so much anger.

"Clearly yes, because you betrayed me."  She added

The people around them turned their attentions to the couple's table. Yes it was embarrassing yet it's the least of her concern for now. Her emotions are going wild.

Today, she was also about to give him a surprise. He is about to know something that he should be happy but guess what? He won't know because someone already beat her to that.

"Just forget about me, darling.

Forget the man you used to love."

As soon as he said the words that hurt like daggers piercing her heart, the man rose up and walked pass her without even looking back.

On that day, it was etched on her mind how her lover left her alone with the cold untouched dishes and a secret that was left untold.

It was the day that she felt, the world has abandoned her once again.
