Stronger

Marinette gasped for breath as she continued to cry on Adrien's shoulder. She was surprised her parents hadn't heard her, but then again they were probably amokitized. She was scared to, but knew she had to look down. She sniffled, and slowly opened her eyes to see Tikki still lying there, motionless. Plagg frantically flew up to his kwami friend to examine her wounds. "Don't worry, Marinette, she will be ok." Relief passed over her as she gripped onto his words. Adrien suddenly kissed the side of her head. "I'm sure Plagg is right, she will be alright." Marinette half-smiled and nodded. "I know, but it's still hard not to worry." Plagg began trying to bandage Tikki's wounds. When suddenly,
her eyes opened and she began coughing.

Marinette's face lit up as she exclaimed, "Tikki! You're ok!" Plagg began feeding her bits of Camembert. "She's still weak, but she should recover soon." Adrien looked over at Marinette's bruised face. "How about we get you taken care of in the meantime." Marinette suddenly noticed that she had cuts all over her face. In all the commotion, she had forgotten about her own needs. She nodded, and Adrien began to take her into the bathroom. He then closed the door behind him. "Marinette we need to talk. I, I can't see you get hurt like that again. So maybe... maybe I should just go back out there. That way you and Tikki can recover here." Marinette's face fell at his words.

    No. There was no way she would let him do that. "No. Absolutely not. I'm not letting you risk your life like that just for me. We are Ladybug and Chat Noir. We always have been, and we always will. We are stronger together. And nothing, not even a thousand sentimonsters will ever take us down!" Adrien's intense face softened at her confident words. He was still worried for her, but glad she had more confidence in herself. Part of him still couldn't believe that this was actually happening. That, his lady actually loved him. What felt like an eternity of uncertainty was now complete. And here they were. Helplessly in love. And yet the entire world was against them. But, his lady was right. They were and would always be stronger together. Right?
