The shortfall seemed to last forever. At any moment Ladybug had expected to die. For it all to be over. What would happen to Tikki if she had died in the suit? What would happen to Chat? Her family, and friends? She then felt the pain from the blow get to her head, and she fell faint. Familiar arms then wrapped around her.

Chat's ring had been beeping, but in the chaos, he hadn't noticed. Now, it was all ok. Ladybug was his main priority. And she was now safe and in his arms. He set her on the ground and cataclysmed the vines. It was then when he noticed she was out cold. Anxiety filled into his chest as the tears poured down his already wet face. Could this day get any worse? He laid his head on her chest and held her close. "Marinette, please, come back to me. I love you." No response. He decided just what to do. He had to bring her to her room to rest.

He raced to her house, which was pretty nearby, and crawled into the trap door. He laid her onto the bed and rubbed her head. Then, his costume came off, and Plagg appeared. He lay on the desk, eyes closed. -oh no, not Plagg too- Luckily he came back pretty quickly. Of course, he was starving. "GIMME CAMEMBE-." he then saw the motionless Ladybug in the bed. His face fell. He turned his head over to Adrien who was sobbing uncontrollably.

"Marinette!" He shouted through the sobs. Plagg began to join himself in sorrow. But lead her who took over him. "Adrien! We have to bring her back! Quickly! Find a first aid kit and we'll see what we can do." Adrien was astonished to see Plagg caring about something other than cheese. He composed himself and looked in her bathroom. He came back and placed a hot washcloth on her head. Adrien bandaged her bruises as well. Of course, it didn't help too much, but he was desperate. Any effort was importantly their situation.

Ladybug's face turned from pale white to a rosy tan as she began to feel again. She couldn't see anything but a blur of colors. Her sense of hearing came back, and she could move. She began to blink rapidly in an attempt to see again. When she saw a beautiful face right in front of her. Adrien. Adrien?? ADRIEN???? The Adrien Agreste she had been crazy over for years??? "Adrien?" She mumbled, sounding almost inaudible. Adrien's face lit up like the sun on a summer morning. She was alive! He began to hug her when he realized he had no idea who he was. He backed away only to see an awfully confused, and
a half-asleep look.

"I'm so sorry, I should have told you sooner but, I am Chat Noir." Ladybug smiled. A crimson coming to her cheeks as butterflies filled her stomach. No wonder she was in love with both of them? They were the same person all along! She pulled him to her face and kissed him, passionately. Adrien fell into the sweetness of it when he remembered he still had to take care of her. To his remorse, he had to pull away. "I'm sorry to ruin the moment, M'lady, but you may want to detransform first. Ladybug chucked as she said, spots off. Tikki plopped on the bed, with a giant bruise on her cheek. "Tikki!"

Marinette grabbed her kwami and placed her in her palms. Tiny teardrops trickled down her face as she looked at her tiny friend. Adrien placed his hand on Marinette's back and stroked it. They turned their heads around only to hear more destructive noises. They could almost hear Hawkmoth cackling in their minds. Was there any hope?
