"And this is the canteen, also known as hell." Jimin said as they made their way into the canteen for lunch. Jungkook stiffened at the other's last remark.

"W-why do you say that?" The sight of so many people in one place already gave him anxiety, but the fact that Jimin, a person who'd been here a thousand times, hates it as well made him shiver.

Jimin pointed to all of the different clusters of people around the large room. "Because everybody has their own group, and if you don't fit anywhere, you have nobody. Might as well eat in the bathroom."

Jungkook's eyes widened, gulping a bubble of fear.

"Ha—I didn't mean... don't worry!" Jimin stammered, realizing how shaken up the younger must've seemed. "You have a group, you can sit with me."

Jungkook looked at Jimin hesitantly. "I d-don't think..."

Jimin laughed tugging on the boy's shoulders as he bounced up and down. "No, don't worry, I don't sit with a bunch of fags in case you were wondering." He said with a smile contrasting the hateful slur that had just left his mouth.

"I didn't mean it like...that.." Jungkook said, his voice sinking lower the longer he spoke.

As they sat down, Jimin pointed out the different groups that separated the students at the school.

"Those are the girls who do anything for attention." Jimin said pointing to a large sum of girls who sat directly in the middle. "I just like to call them the, 'I have daddy issues so I get my own' girls." Jungkook couldn't help but giggle at Jimin's comedic insult.

He turned his attention to a few other groups, pointing out the 'nerds,' the 'weebs,' the 'artsy outcasts,' until finally he made his way around to the table that they were walking towards.

There were only a few people sitting there, which made Jungkook feel a little less nervous to plop his unknown ass into their territory.

"—and this is us. I guess you could say it's the 'gamers' table, but I feel like that term is embarrassing." Jimin cringed at the word as the other people at the table discussed whether League of Legends was a team-based or strategy-based game.

"Morning, pigs." Jimin greeted his, what Jungkook thought were to be his friends, now he's not so sure. "Good morning, pixie stick." One of the people at the table glared before making eye contact with Jungkook, making his heart beat a hundred miles a second. If there was one thing for sure, Jungkook realized that in his little time here, he's grown scared of almost everyone no matter what they looked like.

"Hey—who are y—mini, who's this guy?"

Jimin popped up on his toes. "Him? This is Jungkook! Isn't he adorable?" The dirty blonde perked up as he patted the other's back, to which Jungkook jumped a little, his round eyes glued to the ground.

They must've sensed the fear in his shoulders, because the next thing he knew his hair was ruffled by at least four different people, hearing a subtle "nice to meet you Jungkook," or "welcome pretty boy," with every new hand. His shoulder immediately lightened to the sudden comfort they made him feel.

"I'm Jisang, nice to meet you, Jungkook." A boy sitting across from him with jet black hair gave a short nod, a smirk complimenting his small face. Jungkook squeezed a laugh through his throat, "Likewise, haha." He smiled as he mentally barfed at his awkwardness.

"I'm Seokjin, probably the best looking person you'll ever meet." The blonde to his right smirked.

"He's got the confidence, but he's absolutely dogshit at video games." Jimin whispered aloud, followed up with a glare from Seokjin as he continued to eat his pudding.

"That's the Japanese-exchange student, Kouki." Jimin gestured to the quiet one at the table, he had very well defined features. "He's really good at video games, we just need to teach him Korean." The Foreign boy waved with a friendly wink, making Jungkook's stomach feel weird.

The group conversed for a few minutes, before something caught Jungkook's curiosity. His voice stirred silent as he trailed off and lost himself in wonder.

"Hey," the boy tugged at Jimin's sleeve, "what's that table?" He pointed to the table making almost half of the entire canteen's commotion. The table was filled with obnoxious guys, dressed to perfection as if they walked straight out of a designer store.

"Oh... them." Jimin's voice laced with disgust. "That's just the 'jock' table. Just a bunch of douchebags who think their dicks are worth a million dollars. We don't need to worry about them. Well at least you don't."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Jungkook's brows furrowed at the sudden sour tone leaving Jimin's mouth.

"I'm a fag, what do you expect. They call me names because I don't dress like them. But they're bitches if they think I'm gonna change what I look like for meatheads like them."

Jungkook's eyes sparked with admiration. Jimin was so cool.

The youngest gazed through the group of boys lightly, before locking eyes with a strange face.

He was good looking, only locked eyes for half a second before something weird happened.

The boy across the canteen whipped his head back to his gaze, locking their eyes. His eyes widened, his bold chest collapsing as if he'd just witnessed a murder with his own eyes. Jungkook immediately felt uncomfortable and tore his gaze away, as if maybe he'd done something to cause such a face. He'd never seen anyone with that expression before. Although he couldn't make out what the expression was, it definitely didn't make him feel good.

The rest of the day trailed on in a daze, Jungkook too fixed on the expression of that boy to realize Jimin had been trying to get his attention all day after that.

"Hello? Did I just become invisible or something?"

Jungkook came back to the real world, blinking into The older's confused gaze. "Oh, s-sorry, I must've been spacing off or something."

"Yeah, no kidding." Jimin said rather bluntly, but nonetheless shook it off, considering it was the boy's first day. He followed up his statement with a giggle, smiling warmly to help mend the harsh tone from earlier.

In every interaction with that boy after locking eyes with him for the first time, Jungkook couldn't help but notice that even if from a far, the strange guy kept looking his way. Almost as if he were a science experiment gone wrong. Either way something didn't feel right.

And no matter how he looked at it,

His face seemed vaguely familiar.
