Temin, unsure of what to do exactly, collided her hands to either of her cheeks with immense force, knocking herself back into action. She hadn't paid attention to anything that happened in that conversation, just heard the words "I'm glad-" and then she zoned out. And she still hadn't really... looked, at what she did, with the human and their life. At least... not until that moment. She looked to her hands, which were covered in blood, still wet and dripping. Her pupils dilated as her senses fully picked up on this scent. Her heart rate skyrocketed as she stood up and walked towards the window, stepping out and jumping to the bottom, landing with a roll.
For now, she wasn't herself. She wasn't the shy and clumsy woman sometimes called 'Miss Booksworth'. She was, now, an animal that had it's prey. Temin ran into the forest, sensing another human hunter with both scent and hearing. Granted, her senses were now at least twice as strong as they were before, Her sight gave her the direction the scent belonging to the human was going, but she also smelt something other than human. A bear. She snapped out of her animalistic being, but continued to the point that she smelt both points.
Arriving, she stopped to see the gigantic bear before her eyes. Her mouth agape at the scene she witnessed. Covering her mouth as she saw Elias stomp all over the human as if they were nothing but grass- no he cared for grass, nature in general. She began shaking as she saw him walk over to the other man, who had also been attacking him. Should I help? But he seems to have it all under control! She can't keep doing this! She has to do something- anything at all to help! A whiff of blood... not human.
Had they really injured Elias? Well, they did have guns. She growled to herself, getting stuck in her thoughts so much. She, instead of Elias hitting them, closed her eyes and spun towards the human, decapitating them with her claws that left a small third piece between the head and body. She really was an animal at heart. She looked at Elias, seeing his wounds after she took a small taste of the blood on her hands. It was better than she thought.
Now her full attention was on Elias. "Please Elias... sit down. I must tend to these wounds..." She said with an empathetic look on her face. She knew Elias was strong, it was obvious he was, but even the strongest need medical attention if they want to live. A sigh escaped her throat. If he did sit down, Temin would reach for a pouch inside of her Kimono. It wasn't the best place to have it, but her Kimono was stronger than most steel, but was really just cloth. Before she lost her magic she put a really strong enchantment on most of her belongings.
She began to make a small medicine that would stop any infection. "One of the perks of being the Keeper of Records is that I have almost limitless knowledge from books. That also includes medicinal knowledge and even some ideas on how to fight." She said, smiling at her abundance of knowledge. She really did take pride in her knowledge of most any area. Mostly medicine though.
Adelaide had been in the ballroom for a number of hours now, alternating between wandering around it putting in a few turns here and there and taking a seat and looking over the room and allowing herself to be overcome with memories. Memories of balls she had attended where people, mostly from the upper classes mingled with each other, mostly for the prospect of an engagement. It was like that at her debutante ball, such vying for alliances and marriages tough they were the same to her class at the time.
But she was thrown out of her reverie by all the commotion he heard, she listened out for what was happening. It had started inside and she could hear what seemed to be fighting though she did not go to investigate. As much as she wasn't afraid, she had no wish to get into a fight; she had neither the will nor the inclination to do as such. Yes a part of her did want to see what was happening and help if she could but more often than not, it was overshadowed by the part of her that was so disillusioned with people that it kept her where she was.
She was however shocked even more so when the fighting made its way to the outside of the house, not long after she found herself watching the outside display, making sure to keep out of sight in case of more assailants than what she saw. It would seem to her that the house was under attack, which for a second was a relief as when she heard the fighting start on the inside she had the peculiar thought that a fight had broken out between residents.
She was... unsure to say the least about the battle that unfolded before her eyes. Was that a bear? She had heard the grounds keeper to be a 'werebear', she had little idea until now if that was true. Apart from when she had a look around the house her first time here she didn't see or interact with the members of the house unless she had to, even then she kept the interactions quick and brief. She didn't see the point in getting all friendly with others, humans are never around for very long as they are always going to war and finding ways to die.
All the while her thought process had been going on she had been watching the fight unfold; she noticed the appearance of a woman that by saying she was tall would not do her justice. She imagined that if she were to be face to face with her she would have to crane her neck to speak to her, it was becoming clear that they obviously had this battle in hand and there was nothing to worry about as the commotion inside had ceased. Now she thought was the appropriate time to check around she imagined that all the other residents had been escorted to some safe location to be protected but she had no wish to join the others even if it was for protection, she found it had little use now. She left the ballroom with a final glance at the now finished battle, seeing the torn and shaken bodies of the humans and with a shudder, made her way into the hallway.
