The mages looked up in fear. Beads of sweat began to drip down their foreheads as Sam continued to stare at them.

"Am I going to get an answer?" Sam questioning with a condescending tone. He eyed the blue mage, who was shaking for escalating amounts of time.

"Bluey! Come on you'll tell me right?" Sam hopped down and looked straight at the mages. "There is no reason why you shouldn't right?"

"Umm uhh, I don't so think?" The blue mage tried to speak, but that made Sam lost a few brain cells.

"Oh my God Bluey! Just! Tell! Me!" Sam dramatically clapped his hand. "If not I will uhh, find a sharp pointy object and stab it into myself?"

"Okay okay okay! I'll tell you!" The blue mage was given two punches by red and green as he took a deep breath. " There was not always just us three. There used to be hundreds of wizards and mages all around the island, now we have been reduced to nothing but a meager three. The Dark Puppeteer, or as we call him D.P, was the sole killer of these wizards. There was nothing we could do! He stole the magic of our brothers and sisters. He stole the magic of children, wives, husbands, sisters, brothers, and friends. D.P. has gone mad with power, he created this world to take unsuspecting people into here, just to blow it up all over again. Rinse and repeat!" The blue mage paused, taking a deep breath.

"Alright, but why don't you guys die?" Sam questioned as Holly and Frost ate some fake popcorn.

"We are his brother. What else are we supposed to do?  Kill our own brother? Our magic dispels that, the family cannot hurt the family. He betrayed all of us, and we had to watch him spill the blood of our friends on our hands!" Blue's voice began to falter as the other two mages had tears in their eyes.  "W-we needed you t-to kill him for us, w-we have s-seen your strength and somewhat pure heart. You need to tone down on the cussing. So will you help us?" Blue walked forward putting his hand out.

"You want me, to go on an adventure that will probably end in my death, and probably end up in a group of people that will cause many heartfelt moments of happiness, fear, and sadness, just to avenge you guys?" Sam put his arms on his hips as the mages began to let a few more tears out. "Of course I will!" Sam smiled at the mages who all had a shocked face on them.

"But why?" The red mage asked.

"Cause I have nothing to lose! I appeared here after wandering for years looking for my f-family!" Sam stuttered on the word family, but no one paid attention. "I want to help, make D.P. pay for taking many innocents here and keeping them here against their own will!" Sam climbed onto Baron and looked at Frost and Holly.

"You two coming?" Sam asked, more specifically to Holly as Baron was her dog. Holly's eyes widened in excitement while letting out a high pitched squeal.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you, Mister Sam!" Holly rushed onto Baron to tell him the good news, Frost, however, was a bit more cautious. She climbed on Baron asking Holly to get off so she could discuss "adult things that have a high chance to kill via boredom" with Sam.

"Are you insane? Bringing our five-year-old on a death sentence!" Frost took a deep breath to calm down.

"I mean it is her dog, also 'our five years old?' What does that mean?" Sam gave a puzzled look to Frost as she turned red of embarrassment.

"I misspoke!"

"Okay then, so I vote for Holly, and so does the dog cause, duh. So any objections?" Sam crossed his arms as Frost attempted to get a response out. She failed. The mages began to recite an incantation, causing colors to flourish nearby, forming brooms which the mages proceeded to sit in.

"Thank you, Sam and others! We owe you our gratitude! We have things to plan at home, we will sprinkle dust so you can follow! Goodbye!" The mages all smiled as they flew off. The trio waved as Baron took off following the trails of magical, mythical, sparkles, something which piqued Frost's interest.

"Ohmygosh! Sam do you see those sparkles! So pretty!" Frost jumped as fast as Holly until she remembered she was on a moving dog and abruptly stopped.

"They are fine," Sam replied in a tired voice.

"Oh come on! They have to be better than that!"

"Not really. I'm still thinking about the fact that you 'misspoke' an entire word into a conversation."

"Again I swear to you, that was purely accidental!"

"Yeah sure," Sam giggled as Frost lightly punched him in the shoulder a multitude of times. The trio drifted out into a tundra, the deeper they went in, the colder they got.

"H-hey H-holly c-can we st-stop? I-it is r-really c-cold!" Sam said through shivers. Holly stopped Baron while Sam made a shield our of that black liquid which froze over them with tiny holes so they don't suffocate.

"Well, today has been eventful. Is that a way I can put it?" Sam sat down near the end of the shield. Holly and Frost both nodded their heads. Frost sat down a foot away from Sam, causing Holly to smile slyly.

"So Mister Sam, I remember you telling me you were gonna ask Miss to be your girlfriend. Is that true?" Holly tried so hard not to laugh.

"Wait for what! No! I wanna stay a single bean than be with more beans!" Sam responded turning a slight shade of pink. Frost was turning red and attempted to hide her embarrassment.

"Yeah sure," Holly said grabbing both of their heads and pulling them into a kiss.

"YOU LIE!!!" Holly yelled as she began to giggle after forcing them to kiss. Sam turned bright red while Frost glowed a blinding white and turned into a fox and hiding in a corner.

"Again Holly! Single! Bean!" Sam said sighing. As Holly said, he lies.
