In the Dark Kingdom if you kept your head down and your cloak hood up, you were as good as invisible. Nobody would look at you twice, nobody wanted to risk looking at the wrong person for too long.

Virgil knew exactly how to stay invisible. Since every guard in the whole kingdom was looking for him, he kind of had to.

Sunrise was the best time to sneak in and get whatever food and supplies he needed because that's when the most people were about. Hidden in a crowd of people.

He bought a few supplies then vanished back into the forest easily. He waited for a couple of minutes to check if he had been followed before continuing when he was sure he wasn't.

The air was cold and the leaves on the trees were rustling from the window which managed to block out the sound of the person that had jumped out on him and pushed him against a tree, holding something sharp and cold against his neck.

'Roman?'
Virgil stared at the boy. He had the same look of pure anger in his eyes that Virgil seen so many times before.

'Don't, Roman.'
Roman turned to face the person who had just talked, breaking eye contact.

He sighed and put his sword down, but he was still obviously angry.

'Where is he?'
The prince asked, turning back to Virgil, who was on the floor, absolutely terrified.

Virgil shook his head.
'I don't know what you're talking about.'

'I don't believe you,' he glared.

'He went to find you then miraculously disappears on the way? I'll ask you one last time. Where is Patton?'

'I don't know! No one has come here since you.'

'I think he's telling the truth.' The other person interjected.

Roman hesitation then sighed, looking completely defeated.
'Then there's no point in us being here.'

He started walking away.
'Logan, we're leaving.'

He nodded and followed the prince out of the clearing.

'Wait,'
Virgil shouted and chased after them.

They both turned and stared at him.

'I... I might know where your friend is.'

'Well who is he?'
A man shouted, waking Patton up. He winced as he felt a sharp pain in his chest.

'We're not sure,' another voice said.

'We saw him running into the forest so we took him here, think he might know something about the Prince.'

There was silence for a moment before the first person spoke again.

'Make him comfortable, then get him to talk.'
