Okay, real quick note here: Obviously this is supposed to be Chelsea. Her name is Tiffany Thornton. And, thank you guys so much for 275 reads! This couldn't be possible without you!
I hadn't talked to Jack for probably a week. I passed him sometimes in the G.O.E.S. hallways, but I didn't stop to talk to him. I didn't even look at him. What the hell? I thought. It was nothing! You're being stupid.

But I ignored him anyways. Each time I passed him I blushed. I hated it. He didn't make any effort to approach me either. He walked by about as silent as I had. Usually I was going to the gym. Their training and workout equipment was far more special and advanced than I could ever afford.

So I spent hours on end pummeling my fists into the rough material of a punching back. No one usually came in, and if they did, I would glare at them till they left.

The last day of loneliness I had been going through the obstacle course on advanced mode. Jack walked in to me swinging myself off of the giant balls and dodging the punching bags. I got to the end easily and just then noticed him. I slowly walked over to get a swig from my water bottle. He didn't say anything.

He sat on a workout bench and just stared at my feet. My feet. I was aware of this as I walked. After I got a drink I slammed my bottle down. "What?" I practically yelled at him.

He jumped."Shit,"He cursed."I just wanted to say I'm sorry."

I was in disbelief."You want to say sorry? For what?"

He threw his hands out in front of him."Exactly! I have no idea, you just haven't talked to me since-"

"Since you kissed me?"I said forcefully.

His eyes narrowed."Oh. That's the problem? The kiss?"He realized.

I ignored his deduction skills, and treys to change the subject. I apologized to him just so I could switch our conversation, even though I wanted so badly to yell at him and possibly add a slap in there."No, it's just...You're right. We need to get back to work. What's today?"

"Thursday?"

"No, I mean-"

"Oh, the thirteenth."He answered.

"Holy shit! We've got a week till the mayor's gala!" I realized."I didn't realize that time went so fast. And I don't even have a dress-"

"Perfect,"Jack stopped me."We'll do that." He began to run.

"What the hell-"I began.

He was at the door and he looked back me. "Meet me at the mall in a hour." He dashed out the door.

I was left both shocked and clueless."What the...what..."I literally just stood there stuttering I myself. It didn't help that I still had to decide whether to go or not, to leave him in the dust.

I grumbled as I went, heading to the locker rooms to change out of my workout clothes. I guess I have nothing better to do for the rest of the day. No more pouting as I pummeled my fists into a punching bag about the situation I was in. It was cleared up. Or was it?

I shook my head to clear my thoughts then continued with getting ready.
.............................................................
"So you decided to come?" Jack asked me. He was leaning against a tree in the outdoor section of the mall.

I shoved my hands in my pockets. I repeated my thoughts out from earlier, except in a grumble,"I had nothing better to do."

He grinned."Cool. Come on."He turned around and began to walk the other way. I was already determined to give up. I scowled at his turned back, but I followed Jack. I had to break into a run real fast to catch up.
