It was beautiful, being at the top of the Statue of Liberty. Romantic too. I'd have to come back at a better time. I was standing at the ledge of one of Lady Liberty's crown spikes. The heel of my boot was digging into his back, I twisted my foot to make sure he felt it. I was tying a tight knot around his hands to use in the place of handcuffs.

I screamed over the wind."Maybe you should have thought twice before working for Mcollister!" I yanked both sides of the rope, finishing the knot.

He yelled back."I didn't know! I swear I was unaware of your enemy!"

My dark hair whipped around my face. I slipped his phone from his back pocket."Oh really?"I said, hacking into it and going into messages."Then why does it say that-"

He threw his arms up but they didn't go far. "Don't read my texts, you bitch!"

I smashed my other foot on his hand, most likely breaking his fingers."I'm sure that's the least of your problems," I then tossed it off the structure and watched it fall towards the ground and then when it reached it destination, shatter like glass."No!"He yelled.

I pushed him with my foot that had returned. As he fell he screamed out in terror, but not for long. He had only gone a couple yards before the rope went taught. I smiled. While he had been to occupied with fear I had tied his feet together and then the end of the rope to the spike.

He jerked as he stopped falling, hanging upside down still many many feet off the ground. His voice shot daggers,"And how do you suppose I get down?"

I crouched and tilted my head down to speak to him."You are hanging off one of the most famous tourist attractions in the nation, I'm sure you will be found."

As I he began cursing me out, I blew a kiss and walked across the statue's head to get to the secret trapdoor. I dropped into a janitors closet and quickly tied my hair up and put on my sunglasses. I opened the door and walked out to indeed see people lined up along the windows, pointing and staring at the weird man hanging from the Statue of Liberty's crown flailing and talking madly.

Thank god for sound proof walls, I thought. I approached my friend who had been watching and waiting for my return. "So who exactly is he?"Cody said as we turned around and headed down the stairs.

"Well, now he's my ex boyfriend." I said calmly, pulling on my gloves.

Cody was silent for a moment. Eventually he shrugged and said,"Alright." We skipped down the steps two at a time, chatting away. Once we finally made it to the bottom, I said,"Ok, sure. I'm hungry, can we get something to eat?" Cody didn't really have time to answer before I dashed away off to a hot dog place across the street.

After a long time, we were finally back to New York. We headed back to base to confirm that we completed the mission. It was underneath a library, very secretive. Cody and I entered the main room. We turned left down the nonfiction section where there was a door that said 'janitor's office'. Cody said,"Do you want to do it?"

I didn't even answer. I twisted the ring in my left forefinger so that the Toby faced downwards. I gripped the door handle, making sure that the gem was inserted in the small hole and turned my wrist. The door opened. The way it worked was it was locked unless you have the gem in lock.

Inside was actually janitor tools: a mop, broom, dust pan, and anti-bacterial wipes all hanging off a rack. It was a small space, so Cody was pressing himself into the corner as I opened the final secrecy measure. I made sure the door was closed before opening the lid to the wipes and pressing a button on the underside of the cap. The rack slid to the left until it bumped against the wall and stopped.
