Back to Alex's point of view
I took off with Eve to the cursed library, it was near the basement at the end of the hall near the living room, the door to the library would only open if you enchant a certain spell, so I started chanting, but then Eve said something and it fucked up the spell, so Eve got cursed, or so I thought, when I checked if she had the curse with my demonic eye, she had nothing, I told her not to talk to me when I'm chanting a spell, she nodded and apologized, I was done with the spell the doors of the library opened and there appeared the vast bookshelves full of old books written in demonic language, Eve was so surprised and impressed, she started wondering on her own in the library while I looked for the angels sector, Eve told me about an angel named Xernia if only I had any information about what kind of angel she was, it would my my search less annoying, "oh well here goes nothing" I thought as I started looked through the shelves, "it would be helpful if you can help me you know" I said, "the eye is in the bucket," Fred replied "even if I had the eye, why would I help you, I'm enjoying your boredom torment." So I mocked:" a rear help you are" and continued my search, few hours into reading books about some angels, and I was still unable to find anything related to Xernia, I started trying to remember if Eve said anything related to her; but it was at this moment that I realized that I haven't heard of Eve since we entered the library, I went and started looking for her, but I couldn't find her, so I took a deep sigh and pointed my head to the roof... And she was there... How... I don't... "Hey there" Eve said as she was standing on the roof,
- "How did you even get up there" I said
- "Well it's a funny story actually, you see that book there?" She said as she pointed to a book that was on the ground to my left
- "but it's just a plain gardening book, did you learn a spell to plant the roof or something? Wait how did you even read the book it's written in demonic language" I questioned
- "well to answer your first question, no I haven't learnt a spell like that, tho it would be amazing if I did, second it's not written in demonic language, you're holding it upside down" she said
- "what?" I asked her, then turned to book over and what on Earth is this, the book completely changed in texture and even language, "What on Earth is this" I was surprised
- "Apparently" she started speaking "it's a book for both demons and angels, and yes I can read the angel's language for some reason and I'm still trying to figure out how I managed to do that"
- "but..." I was confused "ok one information at a time, how did you get on the roof and how do I get you down my neck is starting to hurt"
- "see the book turned out to be a grimoire for angels, and it's talking about the different ways you can hide from a demon, I thought it would be funny if I learned a spell or two to surprise you, but I learnt a spell called "the sky could" it would turn me into a cloud as the name implies, but what I forgot that clouds are supposed to be in the sky..." she paused for a second then started screaming "BUT I'M STUCK LIKE HERE AND I'VE BEEN FREAKING OUT FOR THE PAST 30 MINS AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO REVERT THE SPELL BECAUSE I DROPPED THE BOOK PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T WANT TO BE A CLOUD FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE"
- I laughed: "We'll I don't know, I kind of like you like that way"
- "That's not funny" she said and started crying, her tears were falling on me
- "Well at least now we know what tears really are" Fred mocked
- "you stay quiet" Eve suddenly changed her tone... For few seconds at least, then kept crying
- "Hey Eve!" I shouted, I'll throw you the book you catch it
she wiped her tears and nodded, I threw the book but she couldn't catch it, so I threw it again, and the same happened, this went on for several minutes, then Fred got pissed off and said: "I'll just hand her the book myself for hell's sake" but then Eve looked at him or - to be more precise- at my hand where his mouth was, and shouted "I DON'T NEED YOUR FUCKING HELP" and then she pointed with her hand to the book and it teleported to her hand, which surprised me, Fred, her and the cursed books around me, she then acted as if nothing happened and started looking through the book and found out how to revert the spell, but then again she failed to remember about the gravity of her situation (sorry dear reader but I had to make this pun) and fell, I caught her before she hot the ground, she hugged me and seemed so scared, so I hugged her back, usually when I hug her, Fred would squeeze my heart, but this time he didn't, which surprised me, but I took advantage of the situation and hugged her back as tight as I could. I put her back on her feet, and we started looking for the book together, we came across a pile of books on the ground, I went to look through them but then they suddenly went back to the shelf, I turned around and Eve looked at me surprised, something was suspiciously off going on, then Fred thought "she was chanting, I could hear her, she was the one who returned them to the shelves, she's hiding something." I didn't believe him for I couldn't suspect Eve, I told him we'll discuss this later and kept strolling around the bookshelves, I then turned around and saw Eve looking at a book, "everything alright?" I asked her, she kept looking and the book and said "something about this book seems... Off" I didn't feel anything off, so I thought it's a book for angels or something, I checked the book, but it was a book written in demonic about a demon named Cyzex, I started reading through it and nothing was really impressive so I started going through the pages till I came across a picture of him surrounded by fog and seemingly happy, so I quickly remembered when Eve turned into fog during our training, so I read his last words and he said "that's not the last you've seen of me god, you can't keep me away from my love Xernia and my daughter." And the page ended here...
