The next day Eve woke up at five am, she wanted to prepare breakfast, but she saw Chloe and Artem who were fighting, and were about to finish preparing it, "morning guys." Eve said to them both, they both turned towards her and greeted her then they kept fighting, "I already told you we can't make grilled steak now, it's for lunch!" Chloe said, "What do you mean lunch! I hunted that mother fucker yesterday because I wanted to eat it's meat in the morning." Artem replied, "Well sorry to be the one to tell you this." Chloe explained "but you can't cook it in the morning, Alex is sure going to eat it and it's bad for his stomach, so take it back and return it to the refrigerator." "Hah!" Artem mocked "What makes you think I take orders from you?" Chloe then said nothing, instead she smiled at Artem, Artem knew what's coming for him so he took the defensive position, Chloe shot a white ball at Artem, "Hah!" He mocked again "You missed!", "Did I?" Chloe asked, he no longer was in the defensive position for he knew he won't be needing to block the next attack, "I hate y-" he was trying to say before the chandelier Chloe shot fell on his head, Eve got nervous and rushed towards him, "Oh my are you alright!" Eve questioned him, "Yeah I'm fine don't worry, nothing I'm not used to" he said as he glared at Chloe. Chloe then said nothing, instead she crossed her arms and looked away, "OH, THE PAIN" Artem raised his voice for Chloe to hear him "IT'S UNBEARABLE, I'M DYING!", Eve knew what's happening so she kept acting with him, "NO!! STAY WITH ME BUDDY, YOU'RE TOO YOUNG TO DIE HERE!", "I'M AFRAID THIS IS WHERE I END, TELL MY CHILDREN I LOVE THEM..." he said, "NOOOOOO!" Eve shouted dramatically, "What is up with you all, it's still 5:30AM, what's all That noise." I said as I came through the kitchen door rubbing my eye with my long sleeve pyjama, I looked on the ground to find an Artemas dying on the groud, I looked at him and said: "Don't you ever learn man? It's the fourth time this happens to you this month...", I helped him get up, then noticed that Eve kept staring at me, and when I looked at her she blushed, "What?" I asked her, she replied: "N-Nothing... It- it's just that y-you look really cute in this pyjama..." I blushed as well, Artem and Chloe just stared at me and Eve and thought we'd make a really cute couple, we then heard small footsteps coming towards the kitchen, "good morning everyone." Ruby came and greeted us all, everyone replied to her, but when Eve replied she got scared and hid behind me, she's probably still scared that Eve would do the same thing she did to her yesterday, I bent towards Ruby and said "Hey, it's fine no need to worry, Eve is a friend she won't hurt you." She said ok and went towards Eve to handshake her, as Eve was handshaking her, Eve's eyes dilated to become really big, Ruby started to cry -not an actual cry but a dramatic one- "She's still scaring me Alex" she said as she pulled my shirt, I calmed her down again: "Chill, she doesn't mean to hurt you, you're just really adorable and she has to pinch your cheeks, and look at the bright side, at least her voice isn't as scary as Artem's", "I'm still here you know..." He replied, "yes" I replied "I'm well aware of that...", "Can we go and eat now? I'm starving." Chloe said, we all agreed to just go and eat for the mean time, we went to the dining room, placed the food and sat down then ate, we finished eating about 6:40am, "So..." Artem said after he was full "what are our plans for today?", "Well that's a great question" I said "today just stick to your old plans, while I fill Eve with more information she must know about us, but Chloe can you please make sure to come back at 3pm because I still need to go out and feed", "sure no problem!" Chloe replied, "thank you!" I said "And by the way, Eve is there something you feel like you want to have specifically for lunch today?", She instantly said "I feel like... Eating a demon would be great today!" She was surprised by what she just said, and started apologising, everyone was in great terror except me, I just laughed it off and said "don't worry, if you want a demon I'll get you one, even if I had to go to the deepest pits of hell, anything else you want?", She was discouraged to say anything, so I said "here's the thing Eve, just like all of us are, this palace is cursed, it makes the person who's buried deep inside you dig out his grave and awaken, which is a good for we will be able to learn what exactly are you!" That didn't stop her from feeling embarrassed, but I told her to say what she wants, and I said it with the most serious face I've used while talking with her, she just stared at me and said "I want to eat a soul." Everyone was surprised as she said that, even me, but I acted like it didn't bother me, "well that's not much of a problem because I already have lots of souls stored with me!", "Y-yeah, thank you" she said "I'll just go wash my face, I'll be back in a minute...", "Yeah sure" I replied "take your time." Eve then left the room, at that moment everyone started staring at me, until Artem said: "Care to explain to us what on earth was that? You said she's an angel.", "I never said that" I replied "all I said was that the eye didn't work on her in any way which meant that she's not a human, and she didn't attack me, which means she's not a demon... So I concluded that she's an angel", Chloe slammed on the table and shouted "IDIOT, NOW WE'VE GOT A CREATURE WE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS."
- "calm down" I replied
- "WHAT DO YOU MEAN CALM DOWN, SHE WANTS TO EAT A DEMON, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS FOR US?" she panicked
- "There's no need to worry, I've got it all under control" I explained
- "LIKE HELL YOU HAVE! LISTEN UP ALEX I'M NOT TAKING PART IN TRAINING HER, BECAUSE IF SHE DECIDED TO TURN ON US ONE DAY, I'LL KILL YOU AND KILL THAT BITCH AS WELL" She shouted
Silence filled the room after her sentence ended
I stared at Chloe and only replied by "If I were you, I'd be more careful with my choice of words."
"Yo guys chill, till now we just need to gather more information" Artem said, he turned towards Chloe and continued "we can't fear something we don't know" then he turned towards me and said "and we can't blindly trust the powers we have" we agreed with him and calmed down, "QUIET YOU FOOL!" Rubie said to her doll, we all looked at her and started admiring her adorableness, after a while Eve came and sat down, we started chatting and joking, then the time came when everyone had to go and fullfil his given mission.
"This is going to be one hell of a day..." I thought
