Mrs Ada Mathew, Chair lady of Women's Union Isiala Mbano local government stood up clearing her throat in preparation for her favourite announcement. A work which she preferred doing thou it was a work assigned to the financial Secretary.
"Now it's time for our monthly due and please those owing for the previous MONTHS endeavour to pay up." She said stressing on the 'months'. "Thou it's not surrel that Mrs Okoye Nneka hasn't payed up, take note ooo, our honourable financial Secretary. " She said smiling evilly but earning a peeved look from Mrs Okoye.
Satisfied with her self. Despite the look she just earned from Mrs Okoye. She pulled out her clutch which was coated with Gold and pulled out a bundle of a thousand naira note, making sure to show of her ring coated fingers. Knowing of how beautiful she was, she made sure to use it as her number one weapon to every woman that dares cross her path.

Sitting in a comfortable position but in an uncomfortable state of mind was Mrs Nneka Okoye. With a scowl on her face, a crease on her brow and her hands crossed over her chest she stared at Mrs Ada snorting severally.She was wishing her husband was as comfortable as every other wealthy man in the community. But knowing fully well who her husband was, a common pauper. She immediately erased such thought from her brains, saving it the stress of a super impossible thought and letting it rest for other necessary thoughts.
The financial Secretary came around the corner where Mrs Okoye was seated. She collected money from other women and crossed Mrs Okoye like she didn't exist, claiming she was saving herself the stress of talking in vain knowing fully well she would earn her usual response.
The sharing of refreshment was next on the list and Mrs Okoye a woman who never wants to be insulted was about doing her usuals of escaping the meeting because she never ever contributed even a naira note. So, she couldn't even bring her self to drink satchet water popularly known as pure water in Nigeria. But on her way out, Madam Caro a woman with a very Pudgy butt and a voice which sounded so squeaky called out.
"Aunty Nneka ooo....." Madam Caro said making her way towards her.
"Ah! Aunty Nneka, you are living?" Madam Caro asked.
"My sister Caro, I have to live ooo. Papa Chinedu will soon come home and I have to prepare dinner for him. So that he won't scream out his lungs." She lied knowing fully well there was nothing to cook. She just wanted to escape from the hands of the village well known gossip.
Madam Caro bursted out into laughter. "Ah! My sister. Men and their trouble. Biko! Hurry up and go." Madam Caro said as she quickly turned to attended to Mrs Chidi another well known gossip but rather a close friend.
Mrs Okoye sighed in relieve as she quickly left the meeting ground.
